
The objective to any level is often simple-- retrieve a star. It's the path to that star that generates the challenge and thrill of the title. There may be tripwires, killer sharks, or simple environmental obstacles like a tree blocking the path. To overcome them, the gamer just thinks of anything-- and so far, that really is anything-- that may assist getting the hero, Maxwell, to the star. Via writing on the touch screen, or tapping letters on a touchscreen keyboard, any item, monster, animal or person can be summoned, and a "did you mean?" spellchecker will pop up in case you're not the world's best speller.

Scribblenauts has long been a series lauded for its wealth of adjectives and nouns. Sometimes, it's astounding to discover exactly how far this can go, and that's why we have gone to the trouble of scouring for the most obscure and curious words that somehow yield results.
