The iPhone 3G S aftermath

Crave writes: "Now that the iPhone 3G S is officially in the wild, and selling at a pretty astounding pace, you might think there'd be fewer stories about Apple's device. You'd be wrong. However, plenty of other noteworthy stuff happened in gadget land this week too, and we made sure to include it below."

The "new" features for the iphone? SMS, Video recording, Connection Sharing and Copy/Paste?

What is this, 2002?

Want a great cellphone? Try the Sony XPERIA X1, Any Nokia N9* set, Jack, LG makes some great phones and really, the best handsets right now are the HTC Touch series. Touch HD, Touch Diamond.

The Touch HD has a VGA CMOS in front for Video Calls, a 5MP cam (vs. iphone 3MP), MicroSD expansion (about $4USD/GB for unlimted storage), a longer battery life, a better screen and SMS, copy/paste, internet sharing and it can MULTITASK.

There are a pile of great apps; http://marketplace.windowsm... and that includes great games; http://www.microsoft.com/wi...

The iphone is a phone for posers.

"apples the new microshaft"

Putting your petty faux rebellion aside, and staying on-topic;

Apple iphone OS is the new Windows Mobile if this were 2002.

SuperSharpShooter6204d ago

people disagree`in dump enough to buy one,lol

its all software guys, me?...am into hardware and being bold.
Apple used to be my favorite hardware maker, a rouge company giving microshaft the middle finger, now its all grown up and middle aged and tight on its hardware.

Dont iphone users deserve better hardware for the prices you pay?.

well say it here!..are you going to buy every version of it, apple laughing at your expense, literary!!

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
