Hot off the heels of Microsoft's announcement of Project Natal, Sony recently demonstrated their own motion controller at E3. PSBeyond takes a look at whether the Motion Controller is a 1:1 tracking hit or in Natal's shadow a miss.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
if sonys whacks out about 5 games of different genres (racing, sports, fps, rpg, ect) on its release day it will be an instant hit, but if they release like 1 game every 6 months i can see it failing
it's a hit.easy without question.
haters will bash the controller(a prototype).....pathetic as the haters are.just like they bashed bluray,1080p,sixaxis and such.but you can't deny the accuracy.it was accurate and anton made it look easy.even if he can't play baseball.
having the pseye,i can see that it was as cool as the eyetoy i have.but it still left you wanting more control of what's going onscreen.tori emaki ,mesmerize, creature feature and topoq left you wanting more.
probably because i'm a core gamer that has always been open to new ways to play.just kept waiting for those games for me while trying the casual.but they never came.sony needs to launch with in house games and lead the way for third parties like they are doing for next gen 3D games.
same lighting, textures, physics, reso lution, animation and things we see in sony first party, needs to be in their first party motion games.just think what naughty dog, santa monica, insomniac, sucker punch, scea san diego(mlb team),guerilla, evolution studios, etc, can do with motion games.
i created a list in ten minutes of what i can see ps3 motion controls can do.it just boggles the mind.and would be a leap in presentation that the wii just can't compete on.and any wii game could be brought over that's not nintendo owned and improved on.
it would leave natal players wondering why they aren't as attached to the games as wii and ps3 owners.casuals won't mind.but core gamers won't play natal for more than 15 minutes before wanting more control.when i had lifeline for ps2,i wanted to help the girl using my controller but i couldn't.there was no option but my voice.i needed more.
but we'll see how it goes as we learn more.
apocalypse................... .
Have to wait for the games before that question is answered. Same with Natal.
As it's not true 1:1.
its a hit , from that sword nd shield demo and the archery demo i could imagine playing something like the next elder scrolls where instead of pressing a button on the controller and getting a pre animated attack , u have to swing ur weapon in the right place and with larger enemies with more force. the ideas are endless.
