Over the last couple of months, people thought that there would be a showdown between Sucker Punch's InFamous and Radical Entertainment's Prototype, because they appeared to be similarly-themed open-world superhero games. Appearances can be deceiving, however, because Prototype's protagonist Alex Mercer is anything but a hero. To be more precise, he's a genocidal maniac, focused only on getting revenge on the people who turned him into an infected freak. Prototype is not exactly the most morally sound of video games but it is a whole lot of fun, though it lacks the necessary polish and depth of content to make it a classic.

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.
Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1
Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
..but it wasn't great, either.
I thought it would compliment inFAMOUS very well, one being a hero/antihero and the other was an antihero/bada$$ monster-slayer but it didn't turn out that way.
Ironically, it was like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction 2.0, The David Banner years (if you read the magazine, you'd know that Banner was also known as David, and he is in all reality a shape-shifter).
I also didn't think inFAMOUS would be that good... I may have to put it in later on today.
