Atomic Gamer writes: "When you look at the evolution of open-world action games, you'll quickly find that we've got two major ways to develop one: the realistic world filled with cops and crime, and the comic book world full of superpowers, heroes, and villains. But with a couple of recent games, both of these niches are starting to blur: first, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and inFAMOUS gave the player to do right and wrong and get an entirely different result (and set of goals to achieve). Recently, Red Faction: Guerrilla busted open the more realistic genre by giving it a sci-fi overhaul yet still keeping those same mission archetypes, secondary activities, and more that you got used to back with Grand Theft Auto."

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.
Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1
Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
