Associated Content: "After being scaled down for the past couple of years, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 for short) returns to its high spectacle form in 2009. Even with the economic recession, the major publishers weren't shy about showing off their latest titles.

The big three console manufactures were especially impressive with several big announcements. So which of the following three better their image the most at E3 2009: Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo? Let's rank the big three from worst to best."

What product had the most buzz? When you answer that you will have your winner.

El Botto6204d ago

Sony won, no question about it.

Stryfeno26204d ago (Edited 6204d ago )

Agreed, look at his jaw while watching Sony's Conference.

Shane Kim6204d ago

You know the unreal engine has some load in problems.

The game graphically looks amazing for a arcade title.

I bet it will sell big this summer.

AngryTypingGuy6204d ago

Who won? Everyone knows that there is no question, no dispute: MS won. Sony fans can kid themselves all they want to. Natal is getting all the buzz, all the press, all the excitement. MS showed incredible demos with Splinter Cell and Alan Wake.

People can show the BAM video all they want, as if it's the final product. Have fun. Natal will be great once it's released and everyone knows it.

In reality Square Enix won by having all three console manufacturers advertise their games for them... those evil geniuses....:P

KingKionic 6204d ago

That goes for activison too...

:)

Ziriux6204d ago

Indeed, Squre is going to have a lot of games in 2009 and 2010.

Bnet3436204d ago

What prizes do you get if you win? Oh ... ok.

Lucreto6204d ago

There is a lot of games this year and next. All this before TGS as well.

Tarasque6204d ago

A:) Who care's, as long as each person was happy with some things they saw.
B:) I thought these article's was done with.
C:) Must not be enough turmoil on here today, that someone has to post this article again to get people going.
D:) And if you say anything other than Sony you will loose all your bubbles and get 70 disagree's, so who really give's a flying f#$k.

Defectiv3_Detectiv36204d ago (Edited 6204d ago )

While the 360 won the past 2 years, this was obviously sony's year.

MS
L4D2, SplinterCell, Alan Wake, MassEffect2 all coming to PC.

That pretty much leaves them w/ HaloODST, HaloReach, Crackdown2, ShadowComplex, and that weird looking racing game.

Sony
Demon Soul's, White Knight Chronicles, U2, MAG, GoW3, GT5, HeavyRain, ModNationRacers, FatPrincess, Ratchet+Clank, NG2sigma, Agent, FF14, The Last Gaurdian, Quantumm

Then they have that new Socom for psp w/ Co-op and MP, Assassins Creed 2, Resident Evil, GT, MGSPeacewalker and FatPrincess all coming to PSP.

Not to mention, you could Facebook and Twitter on your WebBrowser, plus a myriad of other things, since day1.

I'm still looking foward to FW3.0, David Jaffes new project(GoW Creator), FFversus, and a couple other RPG's that were announced for the PS at TGS.
As far as MotionTech goes, the verdict is still out.

ObviousTruth6204d ago

whomever got paid the millions of dollars it took to promote a buncha over hyped gimmicky toys and sequels.

this is the best summary of E3 i've seen yet: http://www.escapistmagazine...

All-36204d ago

Well - FF XIV is also coming to the PC... funny how you've overlooked that.

Beast_Master6204d ago (Edited 6204d ago )

Funny how youy forgot DC Universe and The agency? I will mention APB even though I am predicting it to flop (along with the agency).

Associated Content? Never heard of ya nor do I care.Nintendo clearly stole the show with Metroid Other M

KingKionic 6204d ago (Edited 6204d ago )

"Even though Sony had a lot of leaks before E3 2009, they still managed to steal the show. Their first-party lineup remains unmatched with MAG, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, The Last Guardian and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves."

hmm...toche

But i think they should have talked about all Microsoft and sony`s games and new features.

qface646204d ago

huh i thought these who won articles would be over by now

Bnet3436204d ago

Takes about a month for it to die down.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle48d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

Why the Wii is Such a Nostalgic System in 2026

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

jznrpg54d ago

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree54d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Loktai54d ago

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde55d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy56d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

DivineHand12555d ago (Edited 55d ago )

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
