PCGH: ArmA 2 CPU benchmarks

PCGH ran CPU benchmarks in ArmA 2. Apparently the game is scaling good with increasing frequencies and additional CPU cores. But it seems like ArmA 2 is having a bug that prevents AMD's Phenom II CPUs to run as fast as they actually could.

Better graphics then CRYSIS, yep.

dreamtheater876150d ago

Certainly not. It looks decent, but is nothing compared to Crysis in many many ways.

Bigbangbing6150d ago

better than crysis? hell no dude

TheIneffableBob6150d ago

But it's much more impressive than Crysis in regards to scale. You can have over a thousand AI fighting each other at one time. Just watch the videos on YouTube.

Don't this game have like a million bugs?

Extreme_Coolcat6150d ago

Probably, the devs still count them. ;-)

Anyway, this game is hopefully better when in ships in the US.

TheIneffableBob6150d ago

German version, which shipped late May, was buggy. They squashed a lot of bugs with the patch released in June, and are busy right now fixing the game up for the North American release. Those who have it right now say it's pretty playable without any major annoyances.

mcgrawgamer6150d ago

well I won't be getting this game because I'm a AMD and the bugs seem to really affect the stability of the game. I'll wait for a patch but if said patch comes to soon to Operation Flashpoints release I'll miss the game entirely.

5 Times Games Were Mistaken For Real Life

Nissan USA’s Twitter account goofed up by believing that a couple of screenshots from (the admittedly gorgeous) Driveclub were real-life photographs. And although their tweet was a cover for their own mistake, it is also partially the truth: video games have been getting increasingly realistic. There have been quite a few other instances of games being mistaken for real life content, in some rather more serious situations. So in this list, we take a look at some of the few times games were mistaken for real life.

I remember the Assassin's Creed one

you can see the viewpoints lol

KingKevo3942d ago

What I love more than the viewpoints are all the hiding spots on the buildings. All the same and too many of them. Looks kinda weird, but apparently not suspicious enough.
