It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Don't believe Steven Spielberg when he says games can't make you cry and the lack of a controller will lead us to a more emotional experience,I know plenty of gamers that teared up during one of FF7s biggest moments as well as MGS4s ending.
Ironically enough, these same gamers don't care much for Spielbergs films.
I certainly felt sad at the end of disk one on Lost Odyssey, did anybody else? :(
Yes, I think they can and the driving point for most of them are generally the Sound tracks that play at the time to.
For me this was one that gave me quite a few emotions, and I'm sure some may recognize the sound.

a story driven game that focuses on the charcters and their back stories let the gamer get attached to the characters which in result lets the gamer feel emotions toward the character. Weather it is happy when something good happens to them or sad when something bad happens to them. their have been only 2 games this gen where I felt real attachment to the characters and actually cared about them and what happens to them, Folklore & Valkyria Chronicles.
PS. - Steven Spielberg is a effin idiot and should not be commenting on games or gaming and the emotions they invoke in people.
MGS4 made me cry manly tears.
