Odion writes: "When I was young I climbed to the top of a great mountain, I was told that if I could answer the question of the old man who lived at the top, he would explain to me the meaning life. After losing all of my crew on the great trek I made it to the top, freezing and half dead. I stood before a man who looked like a cracked out version of Santa Claus, and he said to me, "child what would you call a kid made by The Darkness and GTA?" I stood in silence for a moment and then answered him with my best guess. "Prototype?" He smiled at me and said correct.
That really is the best way to describe Prototype, it takes the grittiness of GTA, and the story elements and crazy powers of the Darkness and then amps it up to a thousand. The game first starts out letting you have a taste of the powers you're going to have, you get to destroy pretty much everything for about five minutes before the story really begins. The whole premise of the game is that you wake up moments before Dr Cutty is about to do a Y cut on your chest and from there you figure out, "hey I have the coolest and most badass powers ever!"

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.
Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1
Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
the only thing that is holding me back is the price... the game looks sick but i would love to play with a demo to finally decide.
I never thought i would say this but the action in Prototype is close to the action in the God of War series. all the moves and combos are amazing.
It's one of the best action games i've played so far!
inFamous is great (9/10) ... but i love Prototype even more (9.5/10)
the game runs great on the PS3!
Hey, review guy, let me sort something out for you:
Santa Claus is a fat guy with a white beard who lives at the north pole and brings presents to children every year at Christmas time.
Santa Clause is terrible movie starring Tim Allen as Santa Claus.
The guy brought you presents all through your childhood – the least you could do is spell his name right.
Prototype rocks!
Great game, great atmosphere!
8/10
