I'm glad this is coming out in 2008, my wallet can now breathe!
I'm just thinking though, loads of games are coming out this year, so it looks like 2008 is going to be a bit of a bore.

Don't write off 2008 man, look at the lineup for this year with all the fantastic games, believe me Microsoft has some aces up their sleeve for next year, I'm sure of it. But their are loads of games for next year we just don't know about yet. We do know of PGR4, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Maybe even sequels to Mass Effect, GOW...who know's we'll see but I am sure we won't be let down.

I think for some people, it only seems like more games are coming out this year because right now, we just don't know about the schedule for '08. But I bet that the vast majority of titles haven't even been announced yet. My fingers are crossed for Project Offset!

Icryo: Rest assured, Microsoft isn't going to release fewer titles in 2008-- not when they have a bigger install base, and developers have greater familiarity with the hardware. Really, I only see the depth and number of titles going up from here, but I do agree with the sentiment of giving my wallet a break. It's a relief, really. Game prices don't hurt as much when they're all spread out!

*Scenery looks good, by the way.

These pics are old and amoung some of the first if not the first.

These images look like PC screens. Don't mind being proven wrong but lets face it, the PC is the primary development platform in this instance and the 360 will get a port.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

jznrpg150d ago

People sometimes call Wal-Mart Wally World including myself

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia738d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie738d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie738d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh738d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.
