yes i agree i [played both and infamous certainly is way better imo. everything from the graphics and gameplay to the story!!!! infamous reigns over prototype any day!!!!!

Oh wait, it's because I have. Anyone remember a little game called "Hulk: Ultimate Destruction"?! It plays, looks, and feels EXACTLY like that game! Just about every move in that game is an exact pull from the Hulk game, even down to the "critical mass", which ironically that is what it also was called when Hulk went into super-pissed-off mode.

They're both made by Activision. So yeah, this game is offically Ultimate Destruction with new characters models and updated textures.

While it doesn't make it necessarily any less fun, it just lowers my respect for Activision. Way to port, people.

EDIT: It's offical, the same team that worked on Ultimate Destruction also worked on this game. The similarities are just too much. Like I said, it's still a fun game, but with it technically just being UD with a new coat of paint, it shouldn't have taken this long to come out.

whats the meta on this game? it never says under the score like they do with all the other games. not that i care. i'll be getting it on gamefly as soon as i beat inFamous. i'm still on my first play through. then i'll play proto, then beat inFAMOUS again being bad.

Hmmm!!!! not looking good for Prototype. Radical really should have gone first before Infamous. It is a tough act to follow.

After mixed reviews I decided to rent this game.

Was very disappointed, graphics are bland (very unpolished) and the gameplay is frustrating.

I tried to give it a chance as I hated Far Cry 2 initially but ended up loving that game. This wasnt the case for PType.

After a total of 5 hours of play across two playing slots I went back to playing Infamous. Which felt even better after playing Prototype!

You can't have a Prototype forum, without some one bring up or compareing it to Infamous.

proto type is no where near infamous,playing alex is very tiresome,run up buildings,take identity,collect green dots in x amount of seconds for g,s,b awards,take out helicopters,pick up weapons,hit people when going down street even when you try not to,switch between powers from circle using r stick,then the graphics of ps2 low range to boot.the lock on system goes into a f@ck which one should i lock on to moments all the time.infamous is so much more organize got the platinum,a little tip for the boss on evil hard r2 is your best friend.proto type so far is £37.71 asda price waste of my money so far but i will give it two more sitting it just lacks the quality of infamous in every department,one thing you will like is the cut scences,but the game itself is a serious hard slog at the moment.if you have infamous this is not going to be for you i,m giving it a 5/10 and i,m serious.

The only downfall was the graphics but there are a lot of options and powers to choose from. Plus watching Alex consume people was pretty cool too.

It's a good distraction, probably not totally worth $60 bucks. I've spent most of my time with it completely ignoring the missions and just wreaking havoc. Not bad, but could have used a little more work.
