The 360 version is for my son cause he had all A & B's on his report (see kiddies you do get rewarded by cool parents). Anyways the games arrive tomorrow by noon at my Gamestop, however, I could not resist and got the game guide. I have been staying away from the spoiler sections but I noticed a few things:

1. The game is massive with all of New York city to explore and its to scale.
2. There are over 90 missions in the game.
3. The power upgrades are tree based and take up 35 pages of the game guide...holy crap maybe to many upgrades, even ones for guns and vehicles?
4. There is a collectible system with 250 items to find thruout Manhatten Island.
5. The web of intrigue is large in size, it looks to be around 150 memories to absorb.

Yeah its looking tight, one more day

I already plan on getting Infamous but I still cant decide between this and Red Faction. Hopefully we see more reviews come along soon.

Warez, Prototype is just an average game. They said first 10 minutes is fun, then it goes downhill and repetitive alot. The X360 Version leaked since 3rd June.

I did not try it, so I will hold judgment until I try. I'm just saying what most people said who played it.

150 memories to absorb?
thats fly,but i wish there were more memories to absorb....like a 1 to 2 ratio based on the amount of characters(yes even monsterized humans)just to maybe add a lil extra to the game...but 150 is damn good.

the game looks like its gonna be sick....im just glad no one is making any comparisons between this and infamous anymore....AMEN.

reviews come in. although i wasnt gonna go by reviews i was gonna actually play it then make up my mind. the concept of the game is what i like. all that mayhem the main character can cause WHAT BEAUTY!!!

after completing only 18 missions i traded inFamous in..

i got my copy since last week. its all that. i give it 9/10

the gameplay is shallow and repetitive, also every street corner looks the same!

Im confused.. Theres more infamous reviews that came out today than prototype.. Infamous has been out almost a month now.. Im still playing infamous by the way.. Did evil first, now doing hero.. But Im the type of person that has to read alot of reviews and watch alot of trailers to get a feel for the game to buy it or not.. and The fact there is one review out on its release.. Is scary.. the vids havent impressed me nor the graphics.. So I mite pass

Why does every game need to have multiplayer? He better have not knocked off a point for something this game doesn't have as opposed to what it does. It sounds like the controls is what knocked that point off tho.

In Infamous you seem to get around the city better than Spidey does, and looking at Prototype footage, looks like a ditto there.

360er or PS3?

I went to GameCrazy for lunch today to check out what was new and play some games :P . It was pretty cool, Prototype came out today so they had that running on the 360 and Infamous running on the PS3. I was able to play both games and get a feel for differences and which one fits me best. Below is what I came back with after playing about 20mins of each game. BTW I purchased Infamous, may still check out Prototype later if I can find a used copy for a decent price.

Infamous

1. The graphics are better than Prototypes.
2. I am an electrical designer, and Coles powers are electricity based.
3. Being able to play as good or evil offers more re playability.
4. Infamous seems to stay true to the 'super hero' aspect down to the comic book style cutsceens.
5. I like the leveling up and unlocking new abilities (Prototype may do this too though, not sure didnt see that while playing. No exp atleast).

Prototype

1. Although the graphics arent as crisp as Infamous, they seem grittier and dirtier (a good thing).
2. Being able to throw vehicles, drive tanks and fly helicopters was very cool. Although feels to much like GTA to me....your super human! You dont need a stinkin tank.
3. There seems to be more vertical play to this game than Infamous, buildings scale much taller for example.
4. Definitely more blood in this game.
5. You definantly feel alot more powerful in this than Infamous, almost untouchable. Which is a bit much for me, i know your super human but I need a challenge.

sweet, i like the review for the game but i think it deserves a 5/5 and i can't wait for the game to come out so i can buy it.

Im gonna have to agree with you on the gameplay. It feels like they have used a rehash of the Spiderman engine, especially when the animations for jump and running up building. Probably not a bad think if you like Spiderman.

I just picked up this game and it is totally sick! highly recommended.

got me even more excited, almost everything they complained about sounded like something that would make me like the game. that review was of surprisingly low quality for an ign review. They seemed to just go on about how it was too hard and choatic for them. Ill pick it up after im done with infamous.
