And judging by the footage this will be a worthy addition to the 360 library. Cant wait to get this game.

WildArmed6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

GOTY candidate easily.
Mass effect was a superb game, and ME2 is only gonna make it better.

I dont know why this is in the ps3 section though

FYI the youtube video doesn't do justice to the game.

Ziriux6186d ago

Yea, I didn't realize it stayed a Xbox 360 exclusive. All though I agree if no other games come out with such and epic story than ME 2 could easily take GOTY award.

IrishRepublicanArmy6186d ago

and the graphicss and shooting look outdated..... but its still class for an rpg!

TheExecutive6186d ago

It is truly going to be an amazing game. the first games story was amazing.

All Time Greatness6186d ago

"and the graphicss and shooting look outdated..."

Are you sure??

http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/...

I think maybe it's just the You Tube video quality. Imagine that in HD.

Wowzers.

IrishRepublicanArmy6186d ago

thats not in game. i doesnt look nearly as good wen u are running around shooting
unbreakable environments.
just as well this has a great story or i wudnt buy it!!

All Time Greatness6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

Yea dude, it's in-game. It goes seamlessly between the dialogue and gameplay. It looks the same...just like the first Mass Effect.

rockleex6186d ago

Anyways, I'll be playing this once it comes out. ^_^

MGSR THE HD VERSION6186d ago

well, since the game is about 60 hrs long it has a pretty big chance of being goty, it's got more game and story combined for your cash.

that's my two cents.

50CALheadshot6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

well, it could go in the PC section.

The first Mass effect on pc was crazy, they made the game more dynamic and eliminated pausing so much.plus they gave us pc owners this 4 free: http://masseffect.bioware.c...

once again bioware seems to have done it,this is looking to be a must buy as well.

KaBaW6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

A fanboy at his greatest. Do you not realize that quality sucks?
The quality is not good at all, and the graphics still look great.
The shooting outdated? How the hell do you figure that?
Mass Effects shooting mechanics work better than some actual shooters..

The game is great, stop hating on it..

In the first video starting at 1:54 in shows the quality of the characters not seen on consoles.

SaberEdge6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

One of the best games ever created, and the graphics are also some of the best I have ever seen on a home console. Bioware are gods of game making.

50CALheadshot6185d ago

im not surprised you guys are in heavy DENIAL at my statement. quite frankly, hitting disagree on my comment doesnt make it a false statement. In fact it proves just how much you guys lie to yourselves.

try the pc version, youll see its a whole different game. ITS MUCH BETTER AND MORE ACTION PACKED!! pressing pause every minute or so while in the middle of fighting is just retarded.

Reibooi6186d ago

The game looks alot more action focus and faster paced then the first time around which is a good thing. The first game felt like a RPG first and a shooter 2nd and this might be a the other way around. Or it might be equal. I do like the fact that they are working more weapon types into the game as well which will add more variety which is great because that was a slight sticking point for me in the first game.

Ziriux6186d ago

Yea I was definitely happy to see a bigger variety of weapons this time around. I felt like the first ME was limited in most things RPG's, but it didn't matter since the story was sooo good. I do want to see more quests this time around, have something like Fallout or Oblivion going.

KaBaW6186d ago (Edited 6186d ago )

Nawh, you can bet your ass that the story will still be up to par, or even better than the first Mass Effect. It is BioWare we are talking about, here..
The shooter aspect will most likely be better, as well.

@Ziriux - They have said that there will be more side quest planets to visit.
Much more so than the first game, and these quests will impact the story, as well.

mau646186d ago

I for one had a hard time getting into the first game, so hopefully this one makes a believer out of me

Ziriux6186d ago

Why, it's story was amazing. It explains whats happening very well, I think you need to be engaged in the game, especially if it offers an in-depth story.

Cinotix6186d ago

Just as the first I think Bioware will expand on the story and make it a lot more emotional than the first. It seems like gameplay has definitely gotten better in terms of the combat system. It worries me that this time the Dr's didn't have much input.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast523d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine523d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast523d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman523d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast523d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave771d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan771d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave771d ago (Edited 771d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
