The lands of Eldar have long been known as the origin of chaos, a place where monsters and demons wreak havoc, indiscriminate in their madness.
Welcome to Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, the third title in the Valhalla Knights series, and the first time the series has appeared on a home console – in this case it is coming to the Wii in the fall of this year. Developer K2 (the Tenchu series) has teamed up with Marvelous Entertainment for this adventure, which features real-time battles playing out on the field map all while keeping customization at the forefront of the game design and allowing for players to explore this vast world.

Digitally Downloaded writes: "Often the Wii was criticised for its perceived lack of quality third party games to play, but it's not the case at all. The Wii had some excellent third party games to play, it's just that some of them required a little digging to get to."

This series is destined to be quickly forgotten in the west (it actually has a strong niche in Japan), which is a pity, because there’s a lot to like about these games. They're not for everyone, but JRPG fans looking for something a little different would do well to try these out.

Neocrisis: Continuing a bumper year of releases, Rising Star Games has confirmed Eldar Saga's 2010 release date as 17th September. The game will fill a niche in the current games climate by appealing to Wii owners who are interested in the RPG format.
