An interesting route taken by Bioware, but I suppose no one should really be surprised. These guys KNOW how to make games engaging and fun and they know how to make stories work. I love Bioware.

Watched the EA conference just to see more BioWare greatness. Was not disappointed! Can't wait for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Star Wars: The Old Republic!

Dorjan6192d ago

I thought they would be too busy with Star Wars to be doing this!

Christopher6192d ago (Edited 6192d ago )

With BioWare now under EA, they really won't have any issues finding people to work on their games as well as funding for them. Lucas Arts is also putting a ton of trust in BioWare due to the success of the KOTOR game and their general ability to deliver high quality RPG experiences, along with this probably came all the guys they let go last year prior to the Star Wars Unleashed.

Maticus6192d ago

BioWare is a real force to be reckoned with now.

Fyzzu6192d ago

I loved Mass Effect. Really, really looking forward to this.

Anyway i am happy with the decisions i made in Mass Effect and as long as Ashley is by my side, i will be ready to tackle what ever mission that is thrown my way.

On another note,is releasing this game in January a good move?I would suggest the bring it forward to December of delay it till at least February.

Just so you know. I share the same dream also. I don't mind the sloppy seconds!. LOL.

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast529d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman529d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast529d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave777d ago (Edited 777d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
