IGN: E3 2009: Shatter Pieced Together

Block-breaking games have been around since the '70s and while they provide simple fun, there's always been one problem with the formula: because of the player's limited ability to control the ball, hitting that last block can take just as much time as you spent removing the rest of the board. Sidhe Interactive (GripShift) recognized this problem and set out to create a block-breaker that gives the player more control and hopefully makes for an even more exciting experience. The result is Shatter.

Nier had a fantastic soundtrack, but I don't really know if it would qualify as underrated. I still would have placed it on the list though.
