In a post-apocalyptic world, energy is scarce and Koreans are aggressive. This is the premise behind THQ's upcoming shooter, Homefront, on the horizon for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. You play the role resistance fighter in a future America that's been occupied by North Korean forces following a worldwide energy shortage. The DPRK controls the oil and gas reserves, so the resistance is basically living off the grid, just trying to survive, while mounting what rebellion they can.

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
Now will the North Koreans like this game or threaten to set off a missle if its released?
I mean on the one hand the NKs have conquered America which makes them look good. But on the other hand the entire game will be about a rag tag group of american nobodies kickin their azz which will make them look bad.
I suspect they will protest...maybe not set off a missle since they are going to do that anyway, but I am fairly sure they will say this is proof of how everyone is mean and picks on them.
One of these days we need someone from big corporations to get mad and protest when the bad guy is the cliche CEO of a big corporation. Eventually only aliens, monsters and ghost will be acceptable bad guys... until the aliens come down and correct us that is.
