You can talk all the smack you want and praise Natal, but at the end of the day motion sensing hasn't worked well for Sony or MS. As long as this new tech stays the way it is, you cannot brag about Natal or Sony's new motion sensing controllers. They remain as copycats until they can really show what they can do with real games, not casual bs.

They really need to stop judging the conferences by how fun they are to watch. Its the information that I watch them for, not must see tv.

I think it's a fair scoring IMO. Microsoft and Sony delivered what I wanted from them. Great games to expect. Nintendo did better than last but still left me underwhelmed. I am pretty excited for Golden Sun, Kingdom Hearts and Metroid though.

I _slightly_ preferred sony's because its the games that have always kept me playing my PS3 the most over my 360 and those games shown will keep me playing it even longer.

I have to say though, after microsofts - i wasn't sure how sony would do - simply because microsofts was so well done.

Like I said before, Sony had a predicable showing. The new PSP had a great show but the ps3 didn't. Everybody is talking about Project Natal. That is the future of gaming folks. Nobody is talking about sony's motion controller. That is not the future. Only part that didn't bore me was the Uncharted 2 footage.

if you talk about motion senser, Sony still have the best.

I think pseye is capable of facial recongition and body motion.
I did tried it with the fish tank screen saver software(aquarium or something) that work with pseye. voice recongition is just a patch away.

on the other hand the ps3 motion senser is 1:1 really needed for quick respond hardcore games. How do you like the control that delay a second to repond?

People are giving MS the Win because of natal. That is bullshit. A slick video and some sketchy tech demos is what gives MS the win. People need to not be fooled by marketing. Yeah it's kind of cool, but no one seems to think about how this would really work. Would anyone really want to play something like MW2 or Fallout 3 with this? I don't think so. I think Natal is just something to bring casuals into the 360.

I think MS understands human psychology very well. Announcing a mutiplatform game like metal gear solid rising gives people the false impression that MS has won the show, and make them less focused on other games and exclusives.

They did it last year with ff 13 and did it again this year with rising. Sony clearly has more exciting games to show, but again people tend to pay attention to surprises.

Reason I say this because sony and nintendo also have other hardware to support. Sony has the ps3, ps2, and psp and nintendo has the wii and ds to support. MS on the other hand has only the 360 which of course will make it alot easyer to showcase there offering at e3 to show there fire power where sony and nintendo also have to showcase games for there other hardware. If sony and nintendo only showcased wii and ps3 stuff this would be a whole different story because sony and nintendo have way more exclusive games then microsoft.

I totally agree. Nothing at e3 shown could matchup to the next masterpiece which will be in the same league as MGS4 and that is, "The Last Gaurdian". Mark my words this game will be EPIC.

One of the only reasons Sony keeps getting marked down is because people keep thinking all they should focus on is the PS3. They keep forgetting that Sony has 50 million PSP customers that havent had that many good games lately. i for one was glad to see all the PSP stuff. They also said they would continue to support the PS2 as long as people keep buying it and obviously its still selling. Once Sony does a price drop on the PS3 then things will start to look a little better there sales wise as well. As it stands it has plenty of great games to play. anyway IMO MS and Sony both did well for their respective shows. Both have something to offer their customers.

Plus, Rising isn't even the true sequel to MGS4, it's a spin off. Kojima is with Peace Walker- the true sequel.

Hmmm, Sony motion controller was great. Intergraded with Eye camera was good. But still, you're holding a controller in your hand like the Wii. Despite the fact there is a new camera, Natal is next-gen technology. What you guys fail to realize is MS is setting focus for everyone to enjoy the 360. It's not about hardcore anymore. Thanks to the casual market for Nintendo's success. Yes, Sony's Eye Toy has these features, but Sony has never pushed effort for the Eye Toy.

Are dead wrong cause if the motion sensors Natal was switched around and sony had this capability the Sony Loyals would scream we have full body motion god of war with this tec would be epic. blah blah blah. I found more enjoyment in the Natal because of the voice recognition and stuff it would be cool to play Halo what ever and see how the voice recognition would work by screaming flank or help solder 2 blow up the tank. that's a very ill way to play a game.

I keep seeing Sony Fans saying I thought it was about the games yet had Sony announced a price drop this would have been the biggest announcement of E3, it would have been huge.

On one hand we have professional writers and columnist giving their opinion on a subject or medium they work exclusively in, and who are also paid to give objective, non biased answers. And on the other we have a bunch of "gamers" giving their personal opinion on a subject they passionately feel strongly about. When it comes down to it professionals are paid to do what they do because they (for the most part) are much more knowledgeable then the average joe (ie. people on this site). What does all this mean... absolutely nothing.

The only thing that is going to matter in a couple of days are the console(s) and games that sit in our own living rooms, and thats how it should be. Good gaming.

if i were going to rate it i would say microsoft and sony both got a solid "B" equally.

Sony = 3 consoles, solid games, impressive motion control on stage demo. they do loose points for their presentation style. i hate how sony makes their press conferences seem like a board meeting. The eyepet on stage should have been a must after microsoft's natal.

microsoft = solid game line up for the xbox fans and those of halo. natal was pretty good, i'm not moved by any games with natal though, i'm more looking forward to controlling a menu with a wave while i workout on my smith machine. their presentations are usually more impressive cause unlike sony they bring stars to the stage and get hyped about their own product.

but people are a little too hype for natal in my opinion but it's sony's fault for not following through. eyepet should have been on stage, why are there no new games that use the playstation eye like final judgement. there are cool motion control mini games on psn but nothing else has been done. ps2 had playstation eye with body motion but again sony has not done anything with it.

it's worth mentioning sony's past motion control. cause of two reasons. many who are hyped for natal also dismissed sony's motion controls in the past. also its sony's fault microsoft made such a grand presentation for not delivering the goods first.

All in all I cannot believe how good MS's presentation was. Prior to E3 Sony fanboys claimed the 360's well had all dried up and had nothing coming this fall, winter and beyond. Now MS's fall and holiday lineup is phenomenal and clearly better than Sonys.

And how bad did MAG look? Notice how little coverage it is getting? I can't believe this garbage is getting released around the same time as Modern Warfare 2. This was fail before we knew the release date.

The biggest fail for Sony was no price drop was announced and the PSPNoGo is $250 and doesn't even have a touch screen. Has Sony not learned from their $599 price tag they are still paying dearly for.

First of all, Natal was nothing I was impressed by. Ive been using PS3 Eye-toy, And its almost the same thing. You control things with your hands etc the same. Natal was just a tweak. therefore I also think Sony motion control was not impressive either because that was a tweak of Nintendo. But I think Sony did beat Microsoft with all the incredible exclusives. I couldn't believe they threw the Final Fantasy XIV. That's like slap on the face for Microsoft getting FFXIII LOL, and then say: hey whatever we got FFXIV...haha:) Modnation looks really fun. God Of war 3 just stole E3 itself lol...

MS had a good conference but if u really look at it in a gamer and consumers point of view MS won with its online features and its sensor tech demo but that was it.

Let me tell you i watched all 4 yes that includes ubisoft don't even get me started at that conference. Any who I must say i give it to sony. To tell you the truth microsoft didn't show anything that wowed me excep alan wake. Apart from that its sequels and multi's. From start to end sony had me paying real close attention just pumped even during their talks. They showed a lot of good exclusives and new revolutionary ip's. Also their new motion controller was rushed but in my opinion at least showed what its capable of which is impressive. One more thing, the last guardian it just had my jaw to the floor. The music I don't know what it was but it had me feeling well it's hard to put maybe emotional lol.

This is kind of weird because I watched the Sony one on G4TV and Sessler and co. were saying that it was more impressive than MS'. Sessler even said that Sony's motion controls were the best looking ones so far, which I thought was especially weird coming from him after Natal.

I heard Ratchet was going to be shown as well as Heavy Rain. It's highly likely that I'm completely wrong, though, since I never heard this officially from anything, just from general internet buzz.

Most of those games that were shown were leaked like uncharted 2,God of war 3, it wasen't such a shocker because they were already shown but if left 4 dead 2,crackdown 2,alan awake were shown already everyone would be drooling rite?

Check out the Gamertag!!! segments, they are always Xbox games.
When they show multiplat games, you will always notice that they are using XBox controllers.
Over the course of E3 when panning the booths, they always started with Microsoft Green.
How much did we have to see of the steroid junkie, Cliffy B. and the multiplat games being show were all using Xbox controllers.

Like I said I luv Adam and Morgan and I always watch XPlay, but fool yourself, the shows producers and writers always give Sony the short end of the stick.

They showed 6 games that look like they can be 9.5+ games including God of War 3, Uncharted 2, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIV, and the portable Metal Gear game. Those are just the exclsuives. Games like FFXIII and Assassin's Creed 2 will be great as well

They are more complete now than Sony when it comes to home entertainment, online expierence, and games. Sony has the better games this E3 but things like Facebook/Twitter, Instant 1080p (which works GREAT), Milo, Project Natal (which is the best motion control), and a solid list of games like Splinter Cell and Left 4 Dead. They had a very complete conference

Made the hrdcore happy with multiple Mario's and a Metroid. They also kept with their casual thing. They did what they had to do

Honestly Microsoft had a better show than I thought they would. The alan wake demo was pretty cinematic if not graphically impressive. Splinter Cell Conviction looked pretty good also. I still say Sony still had the edge if only by a little. That Uncharted 2 demo was the truth. The downside to Sony's conference was the pre-E3 leaks that would have made a big impact. Microsoft did hold their own this E3 though.

I don't think it is some huge coincidence. I don't think its luck.

Microsoft is giving gamers what they truly want. They will continue to win until Sony and Nintendo do so.

They gave Microsoft props for bringing in Paul and Ringo, but did you even see how they reacted? They were like "where the hell are we...? Do any of these idiots know who we are?! Why are we even here?!".

Project Natal isn't anywhere near ready for consumers and barely functional enough to work with casual video games, it's input lag is way too high for hardcore games, and works just enough to be about 20% behind the Wii's motion sensor latency.

Besides, what Project Natal is showing isn't new to the gaming industry, in fact it was last year where Sony first demonstrated the tech implemented inside a game using the Eye camera to scan in an image and being able to dynamically use the image to create in-game assets. EyePet also demonstrates to a certain extent tracking of real world objects and persons that allows for interaction with a game asset.
