At the end of the PS3 version of Overlord, the overlord meets an untimely death. This left the minions without a leader. A new boy is chosen based on his early witching ways and it's in the tutorial that you'll pick up the story in his shoes. After the boy proves his worth, the minions take him and begin formal training -- a process that lasts 20 years. While he is out of the picture, two factions rise that will eventually stand against you: The Glorious Empire and the Sanctuary.
