IGN: E3 2009: Scribblenauts Hands-On

First, the concept for those who haven't been following the game: players control the game's character Maxwell whose task is simple: collect a star within the specific level. By himself he just doesn't have the means to acquire the star because they're placed in locations that are juuuuuust out of reach. So he needs help. Your help. Using your vast vocabulary of nouns, drop items in the area to help him get to that star. If there's a dirt wall in the way, call up a shovel. Need to get to higher ground? give him a set of wings.

the problem of scribblenauts is that it just couldn't work on Playstation/Xbox... Nintendo, PC and Mobile was not enough to support the franchise

Why wouldn't it? Think it would work great with the PlayStation second screen app. Doesn't Xbox have something similar too? Use the phone or tablet to type and the controller to play.

I'm not real sure a 2nd screen is even necessary. I've only played the DC Comics one, but they could have easily mapped all of the buttons from the touch screen to a controller to pull up the menus.....
