IGN E3 2009: Dissidia Final Fantasy Hands-on

Dissidia Final Fantasy is something of a dream project for Square Enix fans. This PSP exclusive combines the fan appeal of Super Smash Bros. with the legacy and rich character design of the Final Fantasy franchise. Dissidia borrows characters from across several Final Fantasy games and puts them together in an action-packed fighting game that's sure to hit the PSP in a big way. The game has already made quite an impact in Japan and now it's heading to the US. I had the opportunity to play a demo of Dissidia here at E3 and I'm very pleased with what I saw. I can only hope the final product will be just as appetizing.

I guess I will go with this bundle when it comes state side instead of the PSP Go, unless this title will be available for download right on release date.

If you already own it... There, I saved you the click on a deliberately misleading article.

I bought the game yesterday on steam for $4 because Square Enix is trying to replace it with a version that has no mod support.

Prior to yesterday, I had no idea the game had so many great mods until people started making a fuss out of it.

I wish Square would port other old games to newer systems I want Xenogears.

FF9 remake announcement soon?

Redgrave24d ago

We'll probably get the FFIX Dildo Collection announcement before that

Square Enix is a cautionary tale. The have some of the oldest fanbases out there a instead of giving them what they asked for, the strung them along so hard that they no longer sale what they once did because their audience is literally dying off. And even when they finally got around to doing FF7 you can feel that while good, the game is lacking the polish it deserves. It is can be clunky, slow, and fights you for no reason with layers of artificial difficulty masquerading as challenge.

im sure a Vivi Model would be very popular. ha

They're just trolling at this point

gold_drake23d ago

we'll get anything but the game announcement

i wonder if they had to delay the game internally and all the other unnecessary dtuff they did had stiff deadlines.

not an excuse, Square is terrible with their own damn deadlines.

The FF9 remake was part of the Nvidia leak many moons ago. Not sure what happened since then but Square seems to excel at mucking things up.

I'm an avid House Head especially the genres of Tech,NY Hard,Tribal, Deep & Progressive House including the now sound of Techno with 125 to 132 BPM. I'm very curious to how this sounds.
