I am making a bold prediction right now. Uncharted 2 will get GOTY! LOST PLANET 2 XBOX360 EXCLUSIVE NOT! MGSR 360 EXCLUSIVE NOT! MICROSOFT tried to pull a fast one and act like MGSR was exclusive and Sony paid no attention during its conference! EPIC WIN FOR SONY! FFVII on the PSN Network as of today. Last Guardian, Mod Nation Racers, Agent is quite enough! FFXIV ONLINE is not COMING TO THE CRAPBOX! 2010 is the takeover!

Out of all the systems, I think the PSP is getting the most love. Watching that video of all the psp games, I was easily excited for most of them.

Sony had nothing to show this year. Everything they showed was old or for little kids. Nothing they showed even came close to making me want a PS3 aside from GT:5 which was announced long ago and will probably never see the light of day.

I am not downplaying anyones conference.

The subject matter here is who won E3 between the 3 console maker.

The truth is. Its all subjective. However i did provide my point why Sony won.

MS had a great show as well as well as Nin for their casual fanbase but based on games showed. Sony won imo.

Nintendo did good for there audience but Sony and MS came out swinging and in my opinion MS won the online features for xbox live, and had a few good exclusives to show and Nitty still wins with there motion sensor controll by default because it has already proven itself with sales and is why they are in first place right now until MS or Sony's motion sensor projects are in effect and selling well then we can compare the 3. But ill give sony the win at e3 because when it all boils down to it, what are we really here to see? The games and sony did just that not only for the ps2 but also games for the psp and the ps3 and also announced new ip's that look to be quality exclusives u will only play on the ps3 and psp.

Amazing show, however. As I sat there I notice my ass starting to burn and realized it was my wallet from the void of emptiness of cash. Sony flexed it's muscle, muscle of games. It's all about the games and their is such a wide variety on the PS platforms,PS3,PSP and PS2.

I have not even turned on my X360 for the past 4 months. I think it's high time I sell it before no one will take it. Gamestop took a trade in at $150 back in Feb. and in March it dropped to $75 for the elite.
X360 is becoming worthless on the trade market. For me, I see no reason to keep my X360 or even renew my gold account. ME2 looks good. But that is a PC purchase for me.

Excellent show Sony. Even my girlfriend was excited, even with home.
Now to help her relieve some of that excitement hehe.

Sony's announcements were a list of games we pretty much already knew about for quite some time now. The Exclusives from Rockestar and the LBP/Racing were nice touches. But how can you beat a healthy offering of Metroid mixed with Ninja Gaiden like gampley, or 2 brand new Mario titles for the Wii? And Alan wake looked great, and any were assuming this title didn't deserve any hype. I'm mixed about another Halo game, but because it's a prequel I actually don't mind that. I'd love to see the fall of Spartans/Reach. If anyone can show how fps are done, it's Bungie. MAG is awesome and ambitious, but also looked a bit generic and I question the ability of fun 256 mp battles. I think everyone had a strong performance and brought out the best reasons why we leave these specific platforms to begin with.

Has anyone even said this? It said only on playstation. Where does the PC come from, even though it does make sense but where are facts that it is coming to pc as well?

It was solid, more exclusives announced, an exclusive game from rockstar, one more from square enix, another from hideo kojima himself. A new iteration of the PSP, Metal Gear Rising with psp connectivity to peace maker. Sony kicked butt, but microsofts was very innovative and i want that new cam so bad, it looks so freaking sweet "Project Natel" and the Sony motion controller was cool id' love to use that for fighting games and rpgs lol. And for how limited the hardware is for the 360, it keeps getting reborn. Nintendo, should just I don't know... stop going to E3 lol

Sony Rules E3 OK?

Are you asking me? If so, then you don't even seem confident in your choice. MS had the better show imo this year but Sony was no slouch at all.

That Milo demo was a game changer for me. Just thinking about the possibilities and where they can take gaming is very exciting. They need to get this tech and games out to the masses ASAP and not something for 2012.

Nothing at either of the other press conferences left this effect on me.

I lolled hard. MS destroyed sony in every way at E3. There isn't a single game coming out on the PS3 this year that I'm looking forward to. The only thing is GT5, and that's in 2010. 2009 = MS year, just like 2007 was.

To be quite honest the only thing I'm excited about from Nintendo is Golden Sun DS (very excited really)

Microsoft had a really good showing but it seemed to appeal more to the socialite versus the heavy gamer. Halo: ODST, Halo:Reach (it had better be like the book), MGS:R, and Forza 3 are the only games I really remember about the conference besides the new xbox live stuff and Natal. While I do believe Natal will be quite revolutionary, it hardly excited me as a gamer (although the inner computer scientist inside me was giggling at the thought of the rise of Skynet with this).

Sony on the other hand just threw out one game after another that wowed me. The PSP!Go will be a day one buy for me (I'm still on the clunky PSP-1000). Last Guardian, GOW3 (duh), Uncharted: AT, FFXIII (okay not exclusive to SONY but I put it here anyway!), FFXIV (can't believe that one didn't get leaked... good job Sony), Little Big Planet (PSP), NASCAR 2010... I mean Gran Turismo 5(Sorry, I'm a huge NASCAR fan XD ), MGS(PSP), Resident Evil (PSP), Agent, FFVII on PSN and even ModNation Racers impressed me, mostly with its level and avatar creation/customization. As a 'gamer' this blew me away.

So here's MY rundown

Best presentation: Microsoft
Best hardware: Sony (I honestly really like the PSP!Go)
Best software: Microsoft (Natal really was > dild... erm magic wand)
Best games: Sony
Biggest Disappointment: Sony (Oh come on did you really expect a lot out of Nintendo? And I say that simply because I was hoping for a Zone of the Enders 3 announcement, which may come tomorrow but it was not specifically part of THIS conference)
Most anticipated title (that was announced/presented): FFXIII (tie)
Best looking title (in terms of graphics): Uncharted 2 (SONY)

So as I said, as a gamer I think SONY took this E3. But I'm still really excited to see where MS goes with Natal and the further possibility of implementing it in android/robotics technology.

Before I start I have a ps3 but that just changed for me, this E3. Sony blew it big time And every ps3 fan needs to shut up and look with there own two eyes for once really stop the the stupid Fan boy crap, How many years I have been a Sony fan from psone + ps2 + psp + ps3 and Sony e3 was the last for me, Microsoft is the new sony face it they showed ten games for there Xbox console that were played at there show no crap just games after games, I am sick of sony's hype so much they only showed one game that was grate yes uncharted 2 but splinter cell matched it, No gt5 game play only a bloody video, please how long have I been waiting, And do not start about gt5p that was crap. Forza 3 matched any thing gt5 has ever done and its here playable. Ico project looked good but again a video no game play. No heavy rain but Allan wake was playable on Xbox, And Ubisoft AC2 is on Xbox as well, And fan boys please do not start about the bloody Natal project clearly Microsoft showed something that is not a rip off of a wii-mote, It clearly was the next step no wii rip off hear and the features were ahead of the pack with natal just think what fallout 4 will be like, Now Sony showed there wii-mote rip off and come on fan boys you all know it was a rip off, of the wii remote and yes it was better but Natal was a lot "lot" better that demo Sony showed was a let down all I can say is rushed, but after all the games they showed had dates 2010 but if this is the year of the ps3 why are all the games coming out next year. This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
