Three Things Microsoft Needs to Do to Impress at E3

Xboxist writes: "Announced in the week before E3, Microsoft's new Zune HD has a lot of potential as a portable media player. Its specifications include support for downloaded music and movies on Xbox Live, a touch screen, and HDMI output. That's great for people who are into portable media players but here at Xboxist we're all about the games. If Microsoft wants to impress us at E3 this year, they'll have to show us that the Zune is capable if interacting with Xbox Live in a meaningful way. The best thing they could do is announce that the Zune HD will play Xbox Live Arcade titles: talk about a megaton!"

Please don't suck at E3 this year, Microsoft.

I'm waiting to see their waggle controller

GiantEnemyCrab6191d ago

You're going to be waiting a long time because there isn't a waggle controller made by them.

Perhaps you are thinking of the third party company making a waggle for both the 360 and PS3?

If MS shows any motion based tech it is going to be the 3D camera stuff.

There's only one thing MS has to do and that's bring a bunch of games, preferably exclusives. That's really where they're hurting compared to Sony right now. Could all change tomorrow. Hope so.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

jznrpg170d ago

People sometimes call Wal-Mart Wally World including myself

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia758d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie757d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie757d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh757d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.
