MyPS3 Writes:
Sony, like Microsoft, have been a timid player at E3 over the past few years. They haven't been spectacular, but they haven't been a letdown, either. As long as they don't do a Nintendo and promise the world but then only provide WiiMusic, being timid is OK at E3.
However, Sony have had a knack of making assumptions rather than promises. They've assumed, two years in a row, that it would be "the year of the PS3." The truth is, 2007 was the year of the 360 and 2008 didn't really belong to anyone.
Buy Sony have been pulling the punches as of late. Killzone 2 has hit the PS3 after a long awaited debut, and inFamous is garnishing critical acclaim as it hits shelves across the planet. There are plenty of other exclusive titles set to hit the PS3 in 2009 as well.
There's Heavy Rain that has PS3 fanboys drooling, as well as the intriguing yet tedious MGS and Snake teasing that have surfaced over the past few weeks. PSP GO has also hit the press as of late, so whatever is left of the PSP audience should be pleased by that.
As E3 09 approaches, what should we expect to see from the Sony camp? Are we going to hear the same cockiness that has plagued their conferences over the past few years? Or will we see confidence, backed up by GT5 and God of War III in-game footage?

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
i cant wait to see what games they announce
The onslaught of AAA games make the PS3 the definite console of choice for 2009. DLC is okay and gives games a replay-ability but when its touted over full games, then its a issue. As a proud owner of the PS3, I have never had to brag about owning DLC and sales because I'm always busy bragging about the great games Sony keeps dishing out. And this is going to be another great E3 full of new Exclusives for the PS3 and new Multi-platform games for the 360.
For me the fact that PSP gets a Metal Gear Solid game this gen before the 360 just makes me laugh out loud at all those who wanted a port bad enough to make up lies about the PS3.
This E3 will be great for all consoles, but I definitely believe that no matter what happens, Sony owns the trophy this time.
change the flamebate pic, anyway the article is full of crap
These predictions are funny... Cos I know what will be shown - Well, all but a few things. So, even still Sony's got a few things that will even surprise me.
I'd also like to let everyone know who are upset about all these "leaks" These aren't accidental. Please understand that. Sony knows what they're doing. The PSP was and will never be Sony's main focus... Letting PSP-Go info slip wasn't a mistake. It was a calculated move to let everyone think all their cards have been played...
They haven't. Not by a long shot. Kojima is going to cripple a lot of people's E-3 this year and so will Sony with 4 projects that I know of that are simply ground breaking. We're not talking about just software either.
Why the hell is this person using that grill picture? It's been overused and it's annoying.
