could be pretty cool if it makes good use of wii motion plus. otherwise nah. theres dual wielding too. perhaps one wii motion plus controller on each hand? now that would be amazing

I lost it when the trailer said CUTTING EDGE GRAPHICS!!!!

Geez The Conduit hasn't come out yet and they already have another fps coming out.

I don't know just doesn't look fun. I could be wrong.

Meno what do you want from Motion plus?
The infrared camera suffice for FPS games...

Also controlling with the d-pad would be less efficient

I actually started laughing at how much this game gets right. It is so crazy that you don't get games like this on the other system. Man I'm glad these guya are not caught up in the hardcore gamers ransom letters, these guys just make what they want and it turns out other people would like these games also.

It's crazy but HVS along is a pretty big presents for hardcore gaming right now.

Won? Lmao, Nintendo is doing jack all for the core gamer. Funny thing is that it's HVS and not Nintendo that's giving you your mature titles. Nintendo isn't even trying to push the boundaries of the Wii, fortunatley for you HVS is.

lord_of_balrogs nintendo is busy fixing motion plus and making the crying hardcore a zelda game. I mean really does it matter who made the game it's on the Wii and it rocks? Most nintendo Wii owners don't really care about the console war it's pretty much over. Right now we don't care if it is exclusive 1st party 3rd party as long as it rocks.
The only ones still fighting are the PS3 owners. Also this game look pretty damn fun and was what I was wanting! Great job HVS.

MadWorld is selling slowly, and Sega may turn this game into a franchise.

Wii games sell slowly. Call of Duty: WaW sold 40,000 in it's first week on the Wii, but maxed out to over 1 million.

If this game would be released on PS3/360, it would be in a cluttered market.

Other than Red Steel 2, no other FPS games are coming out for the Wii past "The Conduit".

The funny thing is that you wouldn't even care about this on the HD consoles you'd ignore it for the next "AAA" game and it'd bankrupt the company.

The Wii provides a lower cost and less risky environment where developers can experiment.

Or may be you should actually buy a Wii and get the games instead of being scared of being seen playing a Wii.

Exactly spoony. How many companies must go out of business for your guys to open up to more games that are not being hyped? The simple fact is you guys are too picky and place your needs in graphics when gaming is clearly about well playing fun games. If you compare the first G.A.D trailer to the second one its much more polished. And due the late release date, it will only be "pimped" up.

The Conduit was to much in its production to add the new engine features though.
Still both look like fun.

I thought The Conduit was going to be amazing! The Grinder looks, sounds and apparently plays INCREDIBLY! What a teaser. More HVS MOREEEEEEE!!!

I can't wait to see what Conduit 2 looks like now! This is what I expect it to have:

- More enemies on screen;
- Better art;
- Split screen;
- online co-op!

Play it first and if its good, then you should more excited about this new game.

But if the wii is your only system. Theres not much to get excited about. Atleast for the hardcore.

When the game is for a HD console, a lot of people give their opinions about the game even with only one video. Why the Wii owners can't be excited about this game only seeing this trailer?

the rest are meh to me.

Anyway here lets have a gentlemen's bet.

I say that The Conduit will be mediocre at best

When it comes out I promise to look at reviews and play it myself.

MEsoJD I have the same problem with HD consoles. My standard for HD FPSs and HD graphics are way too high. I mean the controls on most HD games are hated by most players on the consoles except the ones that don't play PC games. This is what makes your opinion even lamer, guys like you are not even good at controlling a game like metroid which did get IR controls right first. So until you do that you can not understand what all the fuse is about. I got good at analog aiming a long time ago when it was on the N64. It's 2009 now and I want some thing closer to PCs aiming standards.

The graphics on HD consoles are terrible when compared to the same games on the PC. Then on top of that it cost more on consoles and you have to pay more for online play! I really don't see why you guys are as excited about the HD consoles? Its the same games trying to be pretty yet with less game play and more graphical gimmicks.

Console wise the Wii wins hands down. The HD console are lame excuses for console right now, they are not addictive and all of the sequels on it actually are look down on by the very people that hyped them. HD gaming is a mess right now and I hope E3 fixes it. I see the Wii as a console because more people can play it thus they can buy this game even if their mom has wii fit. The games are not plagued by false hype from a few 100,000 HD gamers online. They are given reasonable scores and we all know Wii games are more about playing them than bragging about them to your friends on your HD tv. You know no one likes a tech ego geek, no one. The whole E penis thing is so lame also.

The best part is the Wii is a great place for all gamers.
No one group can claim to own the Wii market which is a good thing because too many times the HD gamers seem like they believe they can bully developers into to doing or making what they believe is fun to every one. Developers bend over backwards and you still shun them.... that is so lame, but most of you never address the problems you see you just hype the game because you are so desperate to beat that other HD console. You guys really do remind me of the old N64 era nintendo fans and I think some of you may be telling the truth about that which is why I glad you hate the Wii.

My Wii library of games is slowly starting to become a lot heavier, and High voltage seems to be the main cause of this. Well I can't complain to much and this is my first time actually seeing any footage (haven't seen screen shots) of this title. I can already say that I'm excited for it.

Did I just hear 4 player online co-op..? Count me in.

...and initial info got me excited about this- much more than Gladiator- but this trailer makes the wait so much worse. They seem to have nailed the controls further than what I've seen of the Conduit, the way I see the weapons moving around and responding to the wiimote is really encouraging.

I want to see some multiplayer in action and some edged weapons with 1:1 motion+ controls- preferably at the same time.

Why the London accent? Are HVS setting the game in an alternate England? If so I pray the voice acting will be done by, oh I dunno, English people-so many "english" game charcters sound like odd robots with accents unrelated to ANY region of the UK so often it gets on my tits a bit.

Otherwise it looks pretty cool-if they can buff up the looks and keep the number of enemies onscreen up they could have a winner here. HVS are being very clever in their step up to being a real;ly independent dev with a unique take on pushing the Wii-they see where the library is lacking then take their inspiration from games on the PS360 missing from the Wii line up. The Conduit looks to fill the lack of a Halo or Resistance and this is clearly L4D for Wii owners.

I won't knock 'em for it though-hey, talent borrows, genius steals-and doing it like this with great gams as inspiration might let them push more imaginative things in the future. I think it's a sound way to approach this.

Yep, it's a good place for them especially considering the development costs will be miniscule compared to the HD consoles. They can actually afford to make three games for the Wii here. It's a beneficial situation for us, them and Nintendo.

EDIT: Yes, they should get the people who did the Dragon Quest VIII voice overs. I thought they were good but kind of stereotypical.

I noticed how HVS is just taking different game concepts and putting it in their engine.
Normally i would mind, but i guess as long they can provide good games its also better for the library.

They should keep it up, and im still waiting for something equal to SMG from HVS.

It seems the more good games the wii gets the less haters we're seeing... I love it! It seems that that wii owners are finally taking back the wii section of N4G. We may still get the occasional moron who cries that it isn't for ps360 or says the graphics are so terrible they puked. But they are more of a minority then ever before... Then again it might be that kojima put that teaser out and all the Annoying ps3 kids are busy making sure everyone thinks it is absolutely positively a ps3 exclusive.

As for the trailer:

It does look pretty dang awesome. I guess the guys from the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat weren't lying. The number of enemies, the dark atmosphere.. all those bat creatures and a werewolf at the end!! Werewolf= Instant win IMO. I am hoping they really step up on the variety though. Right now all there is is bat monsters and one werewolf But a year and a half is more then enough time if they already have this much awesome already. I wonder if the gamestop folks will look at me weird if i go the them now and preorder this game... :D
