the disc replacement costs 20 dollars!!! look at the order form... that's a bit of a rip off, but i guess it is cheaper than buying a new game if a new game would be more expensive than that. And i suppose this covers damages not caused by the system (so if you snap it in half.)

microsoft probably can only replace first party titles because it is microsoft that is paying for the manufacturing of said titles. Microsoft does not manufacture nor pay for the manufacturing of third party titles and thus does not have access to the excess stock of those games.

Great find, i'm gonna get my Project Gotham 3 and Gears of War disc replaced.
Looks like my 360 is also dying on me...what a terrible shame! Just have to get the Elite i reckon...what a harsh life hey!
