thats awesome my gears disk broke two weeks ago and i dident want to pay 60$. Icryo my 360 died on me this morning I was so pissed off. I have been hearing all these stories about 360's dying and i was like well i guess i'm one of the lucky one's well i guess my luck ran out but now I have a good excuse to get an Elite. but if the Halo 3 beta comes out before then I might have to kill someone. I have no idea what i'm gonna do for the next month, but I think i can make it.

They should replace it for free, period.

At tethered: Some of the earliest 360's (maybe later ones too)could crack the disc around the hole in the middle, making the game unplayable. My friend's Tiger Woods disc cracked and he didn't get anything in return, warranty didn't cover it. I would feel cheated. And now you get to pay 20$ extra for a game you didn't break yourself. Yippie!

Go rent the same game from Blockbuster or Gamefly and then return your defective disc in it's place. Works like a charm, they are too stupid to know any different. forget paying 20.00 for a replacment.

I think they figure out the problem, fix it, and the release warranty information to reduce losses...

Glad my Ps3 has had a FULL 1 year warranty by Sony from the start. another thing that Microsoft screwed its customers over on and yet another thing Sony did right.

i guess this is MS way of dodging the fact that their systems fuk disks up.

Post an article about the xbox 360 they will rush in here like dogs after a 3itch in heat. I guarentee you that they are more interested in xbox 360 articles than PS3 articles. I love this site, it entertains me. What would I do without these fking losers?

This just seems more like a way for Microsoft to say, "Hey, look what we are doing. Hey, hey, look at this! Sony isn't doing this!" But this program is nothing special. I can't see many people using it anyways. I've never broken a game disc in my life, how the hell do people pull that off? The only thing that has ever happened was my old 360 started scratching my Rainbow Six Vegas disc out of nowhere. I opened the tray as quickly as I could and it had a half circle ring around it. I went to a CD store that has a good buffer and spent $2 to get it buffed, and now it works fine again.

What pissed me off most was it was my second 360, so I had to send it in and get a third, AND they would do nothing about my scratched up game (this was before I got it buffed, I wasn't sure if it would ever work again.) They didn't offer me a single thing for the disc... Then, weeks later my friend has the same thing happen to him on a different game, although it was his fault because he moved the 360 (just didn't tell them about that part,) and guess what... They told him they would send him another 360 game, either Kameo or PGR3. I guess I got stuck with the asshole operator.

Anyways, way off subject. Stop breaking your discs.

My saints row disc is broken scratched up by the 360 im pissed but i aint gonna spend a extra £20 on a £50 game i didnt break

Looks like the new dvd drives and firmware to slow down the drive and reduce noise maybe the only way to combat this problem

360 fans give their opinions about the subject good or bad they're not looking to mindlessly attack the PS3, no 360 fan is looking for any little issue the PS3 has so they can attack the PS3 to make themselfs feel better about the 360 the way Sony fans do to make themselfs feel better about the PS3, MSs being attacted for being on top and the fanboys knows what is coming.

If you can find a wild pack! of angry rabid 360 fans running around in every PS3 thread saying the PS3 sucks, the PS3s garbage, the PS3's for idiots, the PS3bots can keep their P-crap-box Sonys ripping you off etc etc; rabidly attacking PS3 fans for little reason please let me know.

this is just one reason i sold my 360. it cracked my pgr3 disc and i had to get a new copy. i didnt want to have to keep dealing with these kind of problems.

but then forgot bout it as my rainbow six has a HUGE crack in it (dont know how or when) so thats a bit different
