The information comes by way of several sources, one of whom is said to have seen the device and two of whom are familiar with Sony's E3 plans.

I believe it can really change the future of ps3 and really move wii owners to ps3.The sixaxis we have now just doesnt have the accuracy the wii remote has and not alot of games are very supportive for it mostly exclusives.I just hope E3 isnt a dissapointment this year next tuesday should be interesting.

sinncross6099d ago

The Sixaxis is no meant to imitate the Wii remote, but merely provide smaller motion control o assist traditional game play, as seen in Killzone 2 where opening a valve requires the player to turn the controller sideways as if they were holding the valve.

The only good I see coming from the PS3 motion control is that Wii games mmay be ported to the PS3. Microsoft's motion control doesn't seem to be in a similar vein but more like the Eyetoy.

Sony has a chance to hit the Wii market but let's see what their concept is first at E3.

hell, tell me something i didn't know already!!! this was a rumour a month ago, and now you guys say it's a rumour again!? like that gives us decent information about a motion sensor controller! in the future, give us articles like: motion sensor controller for ps3 CONFIRMED! or something like that, but not stuff like: "it may be there or not, but we are not sure."

Ron Zook6098d ago

The sixaxis is way more accurate as it stands now than the wiimote... every try to play a shooter or anything that requires precision on the wii? Its terrible!

Seven cancelled racing video games that could have been great

From a fourth Project CARS to a Dakar-style open-world racer that set the template for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Here are seven racing games that didn’t quite make it.

Agent755d ago

Blur was decent, although the control system could've been better, Blur 2 in the video looks good. Project Cars was massively overrated and full of bugs, Dirt 3 yes, a new Dirt Rally no, rally games have passed me by. Project Gotham Racing 5, Ridge Racer 8, Wave Race 4, Crash Team Racing 2 are up there. Ridge Racer Unbounded had everything apart from the gameplay, there was also Split Second which was decent, the Burnout series became boring as with rally and F1 games. A new Wipeout is due, also F-Zero. I wouldn't say no to Outrun 2 on current consoles as long as it includes the exclusive Xbox tracks, then Outrun 3. Wipeout VR on the PS4 was awesome, that's due a sequel. I remember Buggy Boy on the Commodore 64 and Spectrum, that'll never see a sequel. The likes of Turismo and Forza have become boring. Forza Horizon not so much. Road Rash and Super Hang on 2 others. Chase HQ has never gained legendary status on any console.

I would do anything for a MotorStorm on PS5. Or just the trilogy in 4k/60. RIP Evolution.

darthv725d ago

Evolution did good on those games... but we don't need them for a trilogy remaster. It can be done by Sony's master of remasters: Bluepoint.

Storm234d ago (Edited 4d ago )

For sure. I don't even think it would need that talented of a studio. Upping the resolution and framerate would be all that's needed. Of course I would take the trilogy with a complete overhaul on the graphics, but upping the rez and framerate (and some great AA) would easily be enough for me.

If you already own it... There, I saved you the click on a deliberately misleading article.

DivineHand1259d ago

I bought the game yesterday on steam for $4 because Square Enix is trying to replace it with a version that has no mod support.

Prior to yesterday, I had no idea the game had so many great mods until people started making a fuss out of it.

Knightofelemia9d ago

I wish Square would port other old games to newer systems I want Xenogears.

FF9 remake announcement soon?

Redgrave12d ago

We'll probably get the FFIX Dildo Collection announcement before that

Eonjay11d ago

Square Enix is a cautionary tale. The have some of the oldest fanbases out there a instead of giving them what they asked for, the strung them along so hard that they no longer sale what they once did because their audience is literally dying off. And even when they finally got around to doing FF7 you can feel that while good, the game is lacking the polish it deserves. It is can be clunky, slow, and fights you for no reason with layers of artificial difficulty masquerading as challenge.

gold_drake11d ago

im sure a Vivi Model would be very popular. ha

andy8512d ago

They're just trolling at this point

gold_drake11d ago

we'll get anything but the game announcement

i wonder if they had to delay the game internally and all the other unnecessary dtuff they did had stiff deadlines.

not an excuse, Square is terrible with their own damn deadlines.

MayorPauline11d ago

The FF9 remake was part of the Nvidia leak many moons ago. Not sure what happened since then but Square seems to excel at mucking things up.
