Spore Hero is a different take on the Spore franchise, debuting on the Nintendo Wii with Spore Hero. The game is less of a strategy/simulation hybrid and more of an action/adventure, taking the creature design elements from the original PC game and applying it to a platformer game concept. The game is a pretty light action game, making it a good fit for younger kids and casual gamers, but will also allow for some pretty cool customization features that hardcore fans should be able to get into.

Game Observer: Since I don’t have a computer with the capability to run the original Spore game, I’ve been waiting with bated breath for the promised Wii version ever since the rumors first began.

The fact that it pitches the difficulty level appropriately ensures that newcomers won't be frustrated as to what to do next thanks to simple quests and a simple control system that always guides the player rather than confuses. It's just a shame that yet another title in the Spore franchise hasn't quite reached its potential.
