A couple weeks ago IGN brought you a first look at the version of Spore tailor-made for Wii, Spore Hero. It is similar in design to the PC original but has been streamlined for a younger Wii audience. They recently got to play a new level in the game: the Bioluminescent Forest. The name is a little misleading, though, as the environment is located in underground caves and there was very little plant life to be found.

Game Observer: Since I don’t have a computer with the capability to run the original Spore game, I’ve been waiting with bated breath for the promised Wii version ever since the rumors first began.
The fact that it pitches the difficulty level appropriately ensures that newcomers won't be frustrated as to what to do next thanks to simple quests and a simple control system that always guides the player rather than confuses. It's just a shame that yet another title in the Spore franchise hasn't quite reached its potential.
