Meh. The Sega CD doesn't deserve to be on such lists. Sure, 70% of the games were crap, but it had classics like Lunar, Sonic CD and Snatcher.

Of systems that were failures to gamers. The ps2 and xbox both had some very high quality games (ps2 more than the xbox) however unless a certain company picks up their act this gen I can think of one, maybe even two, that have failed gamers... emphasis on gamers.

It fails in more than 1 way.

They must have been failures because I have never owned any of them. Not that I haven't heard of them, but they did not spark my interest. I have played a virtual boy (mario tennis) and it was only OK. Everything is red, and it doesn't really have much depth. It only looks like it would be virtual reality by the appearance of the console.

The Neo-Geo and the Turbografx-16 are on the list but no CDI, 3DO or Atari 5200? The Game Gear is there, but no Gizmondo?! And since when is the 32X better than the Sega CD?

well i think this is BS. i've owned numbers 6, 5, 2 and 1 and they all were good in thier own ways. Sonic on the go with the game gear, tomcat alley for the mega cd, the jaguar was superior to anything else at the time and fighting games on the neo geo.

i used to have an n-gage, it acrually wasnt that bad considering how much of a flop it was - kinda led the way for the psp, seriously i was astounded at how good things looked on it. never used it as a phone tho - you had to speak on it like a retard xD

I love the game gear and the Neo Geo still have and play mine I would add the 3DO and the Phillips CDI to the mix as for the sega cd it was a pioneer for cd based platforms. I would have added the gameboy pocket instead of the Turbo Express I mean a tiny little console the size of a belt buckle that was useless that and the 64DD wich never hit North American shores.

I hate to say this, but it's the same, generic article that has been written by every website in the history of man. There's the ngage, neogeo, virtual boy, I don't see what the big deal is. *shrugs*

I really liked the Turbografx 16. It didn't have the appeal of the Genesis or the SNES, maybe. But it had some really great side-scrolling platformers and shooters. And that's when shooters were also side-scrolling. R-Type FTW! The author references Fighting Street, but perhaps what he fails to realize is that Fighting Street was the first attempt at bringing Street Fighter home, and The Turbo had a great home version of Street Fighter II:CE. I was also a fan of the Jaguar, but I didn't buy one until they were discontinued. I got mine for $59 new in box after Atari was already done for and I bought Tempest 2000. I will stand by the statement that Tempest 2000 is perhaps one of the most beautiful and addicting games I've ever played.

Of every system on the list these two had the most potential. I still have my Jaguar and I'll pull it out for some Tempest every now and then. I lost my Turbografx in a breakup, but she played it more than me. I've toyed with picking up a secondhand console from time to time, but I have way too much of this stuff laying around.
