Based upon the resurgently popular Batman comic series rather than a reinterpretation of the Batman mythos, the story was written by Paul Dini of Batman: TAS and Lost fame, giving it much more credibility than the average campy dribble we'd expect from a new superhero game. The story revolves around Batman's latest capture of the Joker after a devious plot, and his escort to the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Sure enough, as soon as the Joker is in place, he turns the tables on Batman and the Gotham PD, forcing them to retake the compound from the inmates and the Clown Prince of Crime..."
