Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.

Since nobody including the author have played God of War 3, I don't think the analogy is very good.
On topic, the impressions of this game are all over the place. I hope it's good, but this usually isn't a very good sign.
I am talking about Prototype and only Prototype. I am focusing on the authors description of gameplay. He seems to really enjoy this game and that's good news for me and my PS3. I have been following this game for awhile and IGN seems to like it as well.
There are a few other previews out today and the only difference on opinion is graphics. Some say the graphics are great and others average.

where in the wtf is the "high-quality graphics", and smooth, pick-up-and-play controls. i am still looking at this game and i see bland and unpolished. i hope by rental time this game is polished...
