New PS2 can read DVD-9 games so easy to put pace its match.

so your saying sony is going to make a motion controller for what is just about the last 1 or 2 years of the ps2 lifespan?

I was saying nearly two years ago that there should have been a Play-mote for the Ps2 that could challenge the Wii, be alot cheaper, be BC with the huge library of games by still retaining analog sticks & eventually make it the main remote for the Ps3.

But it might now be too late. Depends on if Sony wishes to contine with two consoles(old tech & new tech) or focus on the future with Ps3 with its own Play-mote - letting the Ps2 die a graceful & natural death.

IMO, Unlikely for the Ps2. Likely for the Ps3. I just hope it's a proper Playmote not just a gimmick sixaxis.

This may sound crazy, but if they make it for the PS2, they should also make it compatible with the PS3, that way it will be a larger incentive for people to buy it. It could be a blue tooth device, but for the PS2, it will require a USB receiver of somesort. I think this way it would maximize sales, and is probably the best way to combat the wii.

I loved my ps2, i loved it so much i bought it 3 times!! Long Live PS2
but i think sony is trying to get the ps2 user base to the ps3 so i don't think motion controller is coming.

So the PS2 will out last the 10yr mark?

With pretty much everyone having a ps2 if u can offer people 100 bbucks for a motion controller and a game instead of 250 for a wii then it might just do really well
