Andrew Weymes of The Nightly Gamer writes: "If you're a JRPG fan in North America, ATLUS is likely one of your favourite publishers. They have released three games for the Xbox 360, all of which have not been of the quality that the company is known for. Much like Square Enix stumbled until the release of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the developers working under ATLUS may have just needed to get used to the Xbox 360 hardware. ATLUS has recently released the latest entry in the Shin Megami Tensei universe entitled Devil Summoner 2. It's a game that will certainly appeal to fans of the series and genre, but it feels like a missed opportunity. On one hand, if Microsoft were to make an exclusivity with ATLUS regarding all of their games or even just the Shin Megami Tensei games, Microsoft would undoubtedly become the console to own for JRPG fans. Sony would still have the meagre support of Square Enix and exclusive support from Level 5, but both companies seem rather relaxed regarding the speed in which their games are released. North America has yet to see the release of White Knight Chronicles from Level 5 and Square Enix isn't likely to publish anything on the Playstation 3 until the release of Final Fantasy XIII."

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
Atlus don't make big enough games to make them attractive to buy.
Atlus is doing fine under their own wing.
Atlus didn't develop any of the games that they published for 360. Atlus the developer is not the same as Atlus the publisher. They're parented by Atlus Co. but Atlus publications are not usually that great in my opinion. Atlus developed properties are always spectacular, though.
I would rather have SONY aquire Level-5.
Sony+ Atlus+ PS3 +Persona 5+ e3
you hard it here first folks....
