I love DMC (except 2) and I'd love to see a new one, but I was dissapointed with the repetition in 4

Being a big fan of the series not sure how much i am looking forward to this, worried it will be a screwup like 2 and 4 i really hope they dont mess up this franchise even more

This would be great news if true although the mention of the game possibly coming to the Wii could spell bad news for the series as it would either be a massively gimped port or the Wii version would hold back the other 2 versions.

That said I do hope they do involve Nero in the game. I know alot of people don't seem to like him all that much but I found myself liking him far more then I ever liked Dante by the end of DMC4 so hopefully they won't just toss him aside.

DMC4 for me was GOTY.Loved everything about the game.Except those small Nero b'tching moments,repeating levels,OVER and OVER self-repeating battle music(which was good,but overused),..despite this everything was fine.
As a DMC fan I definitely would love to see a sequel.DMC4 was under a radar for most people,even though it was reviewed favourably by most sites.
If this is true I'd sure hope they bring more different levels for each character,a deeper love story,MORE DANTE,and less backtracking.If most problems of the last games will be gone,then it will probably would be my personal game of the year.But competition is getting higher and higher,many great hack&slash/action games could come out until then...

Its impossible that they will announce dmc 5 ... Devil may cry 4 came out in 2008.

DMC4 was a flop of a game and it didn't even feel like a DMC game. It felt like some mediocre spinoff. Crapcom has been going downhill lately so I won't be playing this (just like how I didn't play DMC4).

DMC4 was good but honestly who the hell copies and pastes the campaign twice and just changes the main character. I played and like the first levels, but only to find out that Dante will replay all the levels that I got tired off again pissed me off.

Which was the Onimusha with Jean Reno in it? Was that Onimusha 3? I loved that game. Definitely my favorite in the franchise.

I love how everyone is working so hard to bring us these games. If Devil May Cry 5 is announced on top of all of the other games, I'm going to have to search for a man sized cardboard box to live in.

DMC series are the best action games ever, DMC3 is just legendary, so is DMC1, why do most of the people here bash DMC games? is it that you don't have what it takes to beat it? is it that you rather your quick-time-button presses of automatic combos and actions that have God of war and the like?

For all your info, DMC is the series of action games that has the most complex and deep combat system ever, the combos are only limited by your imagination, I worked on a dissection of the combat system for DMC3 with some fellow DMC players, and we ended up making a 500 pages guide on gamefaqs, thats how deep the combat system is. Damn kids these days, just want to press L1 button+ [] to do their 100 hits lol.

It really is beyond me how someone can rather Onimusha over DMC. But oh well.

nero was not as cool or solid as vergil was and dante's outfit and attitude was a joke(the cowboy boot bottom). DMC 3se was the best devil may cry. DMC 4 lost the edge of the DMC series. DMC is supposed to be hard, intense, dark, and fun-all the things DMC 4 was not.

btw-i still own it because the trade in value is so poor

Devil May Cry 1, 3, and 4 were all great, just amazing gameplay all around. Bring on 5, this time without the built in sandwich making time.

if they are going to make it, if anyone from CAPCOM is reading i beg ya to back to bring devil may cry back to its roots like in DMC 3, 4 was in my book a good game but none the less, 4 was a a bummer for a few reason not letting ya play as dante threw only 1/4 of the game and he was water down compare to what he can do in DMC 3, and if ya guys here @ N4G a hard core devil mry cry fan, i hope ya guys would agree......
