It's between Wii and 360, I think wii has higher chance to go first.

With so many games selling badly I think the Wii is losing ground. The only thing that is keeping the afloat is Wii Sports and Wii Fit

PS3 is declining fast already. It's sales have declined every month this year, compared to what it was selling in 08. $ony is also still loosing money on every system....it's only a matter of time before it's selling under 90k a month in US.

I bet it declines in this months NPD aswell

The one with the smallest installed base will go first, as that producer will want to be the first next gen to release a new console.

So, the PS3 is still 8 to 9 mln. behind the 360, won't be able to get on par before 2011/2012, thus Sony wants to be the first one with the PS4 to have the advantage again they had with the PS2 compared to the XBOX 1, a full year headstart like the 360 had on the PS3 this time around.

Too many Wii's out there to just fall on its face now.
Xbox is well established and still going strong.
PS3 is picking up speed REALLY fast in terms of quality and quantity.
The only problem I see now is the EU courts are supposedly going to call Microsoft into account for the RROD problem again,And they don't just give slaps on the wrist for things like that.
It COULD end up with a massive recall and/or hefty fine towards Microsoft..which would be catastrophic.

They are all great console and have all earned there right to be there.All 3 console will go down in History as the Best this Gen . Nuff Said.

I think all three will stay, to be honest.

While I think we'll see an HD iteration of the Wii to market in the near future, I think the XBox 360 will be the first 7th generation console to exit the market. I think Microsoft is committed to a 7 year lifecycle for the console. It has surpassed their expectations but admitedly, Microsoft wants to be the first next gen console to market. Rumors have been flying that the console is in development with Tim Sweeney and Epic expected to begin running tests of Unreal Engine 4 on builds on the hardware. It was stated by Epic Games that Unreal Engine 4 would not run on current console hardware.

I just want to say that the Wii is never out of stock here in NC anymore. I always see them in stock at Walmart. Just saying.

I think Nintendo and MS are more comfortable because of the economic situation but Sony has amassed a strong loyal base/brand, which maybe be enough to come out the recession bruised and battered but not crippled.

Microsoft doesn't so if any were to quit I would be surprised if Microsoft wasn't the one because they really haven't had any real success to justify a future in it. And no, just launching a year earlier and now selling the system super cheap just to keep a couple sales away from Sony is not cause to celebrate.

well in my household, xbox was the first to go followed by xbox 360.

some people arent smart enough to do some analysis and think . i would guess that it is the xbox 360 that will go first because gaming technology is getting more advanced and the xbox 360 is inferior to the ps3 in terms of hardware strength. dvd 9 is too limited for hd gaming , xbl cost money , 1 out of 3 xbox 360 fails , and there are a few other negatives . microsoft will likely stop support for the 360 when they release another console and we all know that sony supports their consoles for 10years or more.

360, lack of first party games, as well as the general annoyance that comes about when buying one.
360 has done rather well thus far, but give sony some red bull, and just watch, the gap between consoles in graphics alone will be rather apparent.

The Wii, a hotcake seller, will go afterwords.
Selling a gimmick in a box isn't enough.
With meh hardware, so so games, and rendition after rendition of mario,sonic,zelda,metroid; It's as as Nintendo is the Judd Apatow of gaming, and Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and that curly haired kid from Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshal are it's mascots.

PS3 is a sony product.
Rock solid hardware development with ever increasing third party support. They also have free online play for christ sake.
Home is shaping up to be decent, and with a stephen king novel worth of future releases, it makes sense that people would see the "bang" for the buck.
Additionally, Blu ray is the new thing, and with such huge amounts of space come improvements in game resources.

I have a 360 and a ps3 ( no Wii, so you could say my thoughts on it are premature and by pure speculation only, or if you hardcore Wii fanboys out there want to take it a step further, you can just call me Satan and move on).

That's just my opinion though.

probably microsoft because the xbox 360 going out before the ps3 helped them a lot. hopefully its the wii though because i want to play mario with an actual controller.

The only reason one of these consoles will "go" is because they introduce a new console to replace it, which is anyone's guess when that will happen.

I have a feeling it will be the Wii first, but who knows? I would think the HD systems have a longer shelf life this time around since many people are still just upgrading to HD in the first place. And those systems I believe both have a lot of juice to squeeze out of them.

On the other hand, the Wii has proven to be extremely popular, and that may last a long time.

Man I wonder what the industry would look like with out the Wii? Man you guys hate it alot. It is sort of funny too. None of the console maker will be going down, yet the weakest would be sony, but that may have changed with kaz getting more rank. I'm expecting MS to jump on the best tech for next gen and have full BC also. Nintendo is not going any where, yet if 3rd parties can not out fo the hype generated by sony's fan base for 1st party games then the 3rd party will leave or get shut down like many companies did this year.

PS3 and the Wii will see support even after the next wave of consoles come out. And there is only one company with the history of dumping a console and pumping out another one.

I see MS with a new console around 2010, making them first to drop a new console. PS3/Wii has some killer titles coming out after 2010 to keep them in gamers minds. (GoW3, DQX, etc.)

The Wii will also be the first to go because it is weak. I'm not talking about power, graphics or hard drive space, I mean weak in the sense that it won't take much to knock it down. All it took was a few releases in Japan and the Wii was kicked down the line. The low sales and failures of so called AAA title are making people doubt it. The only games that are keeping the Wii afloat right now are Wii Sports and Wii-fit.Sony is rumored to be making a slimmer PS3, while both companies are thinking about motion sensor controllers which is the base that the Wii stands on.Added to this Wii's line up is looking very spare this year and everyone is practically drooling waiting to see what Microsoft and Sony plan to reveal and release this year.You see what I mean? Nintendo even though it is making a lot of money still has not established themselves.They still aren't being taken seriously as a stand alone system. People usually either buy the Wii because they can't afford the others or as a side system for their kids or girlfriends or for Wii-Fit.If either Sony or Microsoft or both of them make a concentrated effort to knock Nintendo down, they won't be getting back up.

say the wii cause its running on last gen graphics and heard nintendo may release a new console by christmas 2010 with wii hd then you have xbox 360 been already pushed to the maxed or maed out with graphics i think xbox 360 will go second but heard xbiox 720 will be out in 2011 and ps3 will be here for another 8 years maybe longer after the next consoles arrive but i cant see wii lasting 8 more years but ps3 will cause its future proof and heard ps4 will be out in 2018

some people wants Sony to fail as same as some people want and know xbox will fail :) happy?
