Pretty obvious, but it really does bear mentioning. When you pop in a game your goal is more than likely to play said game. I can appreciate that some games have epic stories about an evil corporation, a rag-tag band of resistance fighters and a spiky haired antagonist, but you know what? Sometimes I just don't give a shit about any of that and I just want to sit down and actually play my game immediately without long winded bouts of exposition.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
.
.. just sayin'
Now I try to understand the storyline, and about 80% of the time I don't mind any of the cutscenes.
With MGS4, every cutscene was worth watching. I understand it can get in the way of playing such a great game but only to a certain point, if you are a real gamer and not another xbox360 fanboy you would easily shrug it off.
The first time round I will watch all cutscenes.
From then on after it's just the good ones, there's times when I want to boot up Assassins Creed but I'm stopped by the 3 day cutscene before each level that you just cannot skip.
Equally important to being able to skip cutscenes, in my opinion, is the ability to PAUSE cutscenes. People who complain about the movies in MGS4 should be thankful that you can skip them AND pause them. Both options are available to you, which makes the whole thing very user friendly.
