Gamepro: UFC 2009: Undisputed Review

It not only manages to deliver the game the UFC faithful have been longing for but adds an entirely unique and excellent experience to the broader fighting game genre, which is why it's also a title that non-MMA fans should look into. Who knows, you might just find yourself becoming a dedicated supporter of this fantastic sport.

I knew this game was going to get awesome reviews. GOODBYE FLOPNIGHT 4

Pennywise6220d ago

Fightnight will still be good, but boxing is a dying sport. MMA is taking over!! I LOVE the demo. 20+hours on a demo says something for the game.

I knew the reviews would be great.

Th3 Chr0nic6220d ago

oh man i probably have close to 50 hours if not more on the demo

Parapraxis6220d ago

Sheesh...I enjoyed the demo, but I haven't budgeted for this game.
I need to start pinching a few more pennies, this looks like a must have.
I'm a huge UFC fan and I'm sure I'll enjoy the full game.
Good review, great score.

Gamestop is offering an extra 20% on trade ins for this game. Hate to say it, but SF4 is outta here!

PattyWacker6220d ago

I have thrown in countless hours into the demo. I cant wait to try out all the other fighters. Its a shame it wont have Fedor or other non- ufc fighters, But it is still looking like an mma game thats worth buying. Which would probably be the first one. I have one for my ps2 that I bought a while back and wow did that game blow. But yes first day purchase, see you all online:D haha.
On another note, what game does Gamepro NOT give a 5/5? seriously. I used to love that site and magazine but it really seems liek they just throw out perfect scores too much. Possibly need to change to a 10 point rating system.

Th3 Chr0nic6220d ago

i think gamepro's site is super unorganized. its hard to find anything and when i do find the review im looking for everything loads except the score they give it, probably cause they use an image to display score. so lame

Five Underrated Games That Should Have Gotten More Love

MouseEatsCat writes:

"Game development is a slow, sluggish process. But when a game is made, most of the time it’s made with love and care and a lot of effort. So it’s not nice to see good games go by almost unnoticed. I’ve decided to compile a list of the five best fairly recent underrated games that went unnoticed when released."

I did not/ do not understand why so many people liked blur i thought it was not very good as for the others i cant say anything. though i was hoping MAG would of been on the list was playing it last night nice to see there is still a community playing the game after so long and despite its lack of reception!

Kurt Russell4848d ago

I loved blur. It had loads to do on the single player, and a good online system. The courses were varied with locations a little different to most racers. Also to top it all off it was very pretty with laser beams and disco light streaks chasing after people... That and it allowed me to drive a rat look beetle :)

I hope that helps you to understand at least why some people may have liked it.

OOG4848d ago

agreed blur was awesome

EbeneezerGoode4848d ago

Agreed. Blur was awful. Truly a terrible game. If was nowhere near the developer's previous efforts on quality nor gameplay.

If anything BLUR was over-rated. Big Time. It was really messy looking, and totally non-fun to play.

Hicken4848d ago

I had a VERY different opinion of Blur. I thought it was an excellent game. Had lots of fun, and wouldn't mind a sequel later this gen or next.

FaSCoRP4848d ago

Blur was good. The point is it was hard, some people does not have the guts, patience or skill to keep up. It was a Bizarre game, you have to be skilled

EbeneezerGoode4848d ago

Really? So that's why I absolutely LOVED PGR3 is it? Blur was nowhere near the class of PGR3 and that is why it failed for me. The cars felt weird, the tracks looked cartoony, the over bright neon mess of pick ups were ill considered and immersion ruining. It was TOO arcade for it's own good.

FaSCoRP4846d ago

Well but Blur never tried to be a Racing Sim, it was like a Mario Kart with a nice graphic engine a more "not so kart" handling.

EbeneezerGoode4846d ago

well maybe it SHOULD have tried to be more, it's poor reception showed it didn't please many people but I'm happy if you got fun out of it. I believe they could have done a lot better based on their past games.

I hope EA does not get the exclusive license renewal for Madden.

Dark_Overlord5092d ago

EA needs to be up in court on anti competitive charges, this being another in a long line of sh*t they pull. The worst though is the crap they pull with football, I mean making sure no one else can make a deal with the clubs is complete BS.

TrueGaming5092d ago

All I have to say is I called it & it is for the better, can't wait to play it !!!
