holy s*it they still patch Diablo 2!

Jinxstar6227d ago

Yes they do. It's still played by many.

That's why I love bliz. They keep supporting the game and are adding things that players have been requesting to keep ppl coming back. Not to mention they still reset the ladders too. This game has been my addiction for several years starting with a pathetic summoner/corpse explosion Necro. Might have to go do some runs with my hammerdin or windy druid and reorganize my mules.

ThanatosDMC6227d ago

They should have a way way way bigger inventory space. Think of Monster Hunter and how great it was to specialize your armor to fight specific enemies or fight on specific levels. But then again this is Diablo so there's no real use on specifying your armor unless it's Bramble.

I guess it's time again... Who will join an old master?

I'll be in the trade room by tomorrow, with 2 level 80's with decent gear.

ionace6227d ago

lmao i wish i still had the kind of time to devote to gaming that your talking about, it used to be alot easier before they gimped the cow level

meluvulongtime6227d ago

it's really not that hard to get a character to 80 in one day. The main thing is actually having someone rush you so that you can hit all the good run areas effectively. Gear isn't much of a problem either as you can easily get hr's by trading keys/organs and the bosses that drop the keys do drop decent items too. In one week you could easily have a beast of a charc.

shadowfish6227d ago

It mentions a larger stash size, how does this increase the inventory size of the character? The stash size has been debated intensely on D2 forums, and it's not the actual inventory.

meluvulongtime6227d ago

It'd be nice if it is increased, but doesn't matter really either way. People will still utilize mule characters. You can only carry so much gear.

I've been out of work! Living off an ever dwindling bank account, struggling to make ends meet via ebay. I'm trying to hustle money any way I can before/while looking for more work, all while trying not to touch anything in the bank!

That explains why I've been more active on N4G and play games more often.
I have the rest of the month to "Platinium" a few games, before my life will get busy again

Diablo 2 is easy. I can run any noob through my usual play through, from start to finish and they'd get the general idea how to level.
Baal runs, knowing what gear is obtainable, planning ahead, getting lucky and finding gear that meets or exceeds expectations.. all factors in leveling. Time available is another, lol.

Damnit! I'm gonna have to start playing D2 again. Been playing on and off since the release and have a few 1000 game hours. If WoW is like crack, then D2 is heroin

Blizzard Wants Faster Diablo Releases and More Expansions

Blizzard reveals plans to speed up Diablo releases with more frequent expansions and updates as the franchise moves toward a live-service future.

QuantumMechanic94d ago

All I want is a physical disc release of remastered D2 that doesn't require online check-ins.

VonAlbrecht94d ago

Ah, more and fast - the antithesis of careful and good

Christopher94d ago (Edited 94d ago )

I've lost complete interest. Too much FOMO with seasons as it is, now it's expansions? No thanks.

Michiel198993d ago

what fomo? everything gets reset each season and you start new characters unless you're playing on the regular servers and then you're already maxxed anway and just need to participate in the new season stuff.

Michiel198993d ago

i played only during launch and i found the ones in that battlepass to be absolute dogwater, the only ones that looked somewhat cool were the paid ones in the store and i wont bother with either. The game itself was just so hollow, there were no cool builds cause every synergy was just "x or y skills does more dmg or has this extra effect" almost no experimentation needed, couldnt give a rats ass about armor if the core of the game is boring af.

What Can Diablo IV Learn From Diablo II

Diablo IV may be the latest entry from the Diablo series, but it can sure learn a thing or two from the iconic Diablo II. Both of these games are different and similar to each other, but Diablo II's phenomenal presence should still be more appearing in Diablo IV to make the game even better in its current state.

Diablo 2 Receives 60 FPS Update Thanks To A New Mod

A fan-run initiative called Project Diablo 2 has brought a 60 FPS update for the classic Diablo title, among other changes.

1nsomniac1127d ago

Boo! Thought this was eventually a patch for diablo2 on PS5. The fact that they can’t get that game to run in quality mode at 60fps is an absolute joke!
