I'm more interested in how the gameplay is, could care less about the graphics. I hope its not all retarded and unrealistic like mgs 4 gameplay.

I care about the graphics because they make the game very emmersive giving the game a realism needed to make the character more mortal. I doubt this game will have the silly gameplay of MGS4. The graphics are part of the gameplay the environments play there roll with the gameplay mechanics.

Running around getting shot while making uh uh uh uh uh noise with each bullet is silly to me. Humping the ground while baddies are in plain site but don't see you because you didn't trigger their attention mechanic is silly to me.

ok wait but wait first of why do u guys even compare splinter cell with mgs... mgs is about story and character building... they had good ideas like the stress meter and its effect on snakes mental conditioning

on the other hand sc is all about stealth and gadgets... with the amazing gadgets in chaos theory (especially the sticky poison gas grenade) he was like frank millers batman on crack... it was awesome... the stealth gameplay of sc is far far superior than mgs... but then again mgs now is not really about the stealth anymore...

last e3 came and went with the same level of the 360's horsepower being displayed.. remember Gears2 was supposed to be the graphics king, but after it looked just like the first one.. everyone withdrew the comments and started talking up gameplay instead of graphics. (which is always obviously important but for some reason when its pointed out how dull the 360's graphics are, people revert back to gameplay)

The 360's last best looking game has and will always be Gears of War/Just Cause. I've yet to see it surpassed by anything. Performance wise, gears is great. If you're looking for graphics out of the 360 to trump any current gen graphics kings titles, i think you'll be severely disappointed. remember that you and only you think that multiplatform lost planet 2 is a contender to others. Bioshock was once heralded as ZOMG visuals, now look at bioshock 2. Same about COD4 now look at 5 and from the looks of it MW2.. none can touch other titles graphically.

Happens every year. its like clockwork.. the 360 still has nothing that can trump Uncharted1, and part2 looks even better than the first. That was back in 2007?

I dont think any PC/360 game will usher in new visuals.. I'd imagine a 360 only title would do the trick.

PC gaming is unfortunately gimped this generation due to piracy and do to most higher profile titles being console ports. No developer is spending the time to invest in new engines and really push the envelope to bring some amazing never before seen visuals outside of the pockets of PC main devs left. Crytek and others. Thats why I'm sure how Splinter cell is gunna look, just like i've been right about every PC/360 release not trumping anything when it comes to graphics(which i was responding to). Far be it from me to suggest that Splinter Cell is bigger news than most PC gaming news these days..

How high are you, and can you send me some of what you're smoking? Since you have absolutely no clue of what you're blathering about i'll try to help.

You don't need a $4000 dollar rig to run any console/pc game in Higher Res/textures. Why? because the game is optimized to run on a console. Thats the goal, not to have one version run like killzone2, and the other run like gears2. No, you need the versions to be relatively equal.

For example, HALF LIFE 2 ran in WUXGA resolution at 40-50fps on a computer say 4-5 years ago. What makes you think that you need to now run a $4000 dollar machine to run Left4Dead with higher performance settings that the 360. Divine intellect? The unreal engine and the source engines are both very dated, and dont require the latest in technology to run in higher settings than the console version. Most gaming rigs from years ago still boost more ram/videocard/gpu combinations than the specs of the arcade 360.

Unless the Arcade 360 started requiring 4000 dollar specs to run a game in sub HD, then you'd need a PC rig to play it. But seeing as how the 360 isn't entering the world of DX10. My money is on older gaming rigs playing modern pc/console games at just as high of settings as the 360/ps3, or higher.

Splinter Cell Conviction will and always be dead as long as it's still for 360. The devs are going no where backing up the wrong system.

I'm a massive metal gear fan, infact it is my favourite game series. But i do like splinter cell too, i just don't think they should be compared.

They both have different aims in what they are trying to be.

I do think ninja gaiden 1 and 2 are better than souls games, but they aren't even comparable
