I mean, Killzone 2 sort of spoiled me when it comes to visuals and effects in FPS games - which is a bad thing. Why is it bad? MGS4 spoiled me when it comes to cut scenes....I expect them now to be long enough and amazing animation, lol. Anyway, this is Modern Warfare 2! It's all about the gameplay, not the graphics.

I think it's just disappointing cus when cod4 was first shown it looked amazing (and such a step up from the previous games in the series). This short teaser probably doesn't do the game justice though and i reckon they should have waited 'til the 24th till they showed off any gameplay what so ever.

I would have preffered a new engine but as long as it looks as good as 4 (which it is bound too) then it'll still be fun to play. I mean i really enjoy playing socom and that has really 'dated' graphics, but they're nice enough to do the job

Why does no one seem to realise that the game doesnt even come out for at least another 6 months, the graphics are one of the last things to be worked on in games (At least so Ive been told), if your going to complain about it at least wait till the game is finished and give it a fare chance!

Its a crappy video, don't tell your actually comparing this as if it was playing in 720p on an HDTV.

Judging from the video, its going to look better than CoD4. Nothing against CoD4 but it had a very ugly surrounding, as in not much objects and textures (same as in KZ2). In CoD5, they improved that adding dozens of explosions going off all together and playing through beautiful jungles. In Modern Warfare 2 it seems they're improving the surrounding and setting.

Its a pre-pre-pre-Alpha build.

On one hand, it's just a preview with over half a year of dev time left. On the other hand, it looks WORSE than CoD4 and is a terrible first impression. CoD4 survives on its great gameplay, but this looks like a visual regression which is disappointing.

I have faith in IW, but I can see how people, myself included, are questioning their choice in using this as "reveal" footage. Still, I know I'll be buying this game. What they really need to do is make sure they get host migration in their stat and fix the flaws of CoD4, not just put a new coat of paint on it. CoD4 was still the most addictive FPS for me since Goldeneye 007, I hope MW2 does the same!

Also, lol at insecure children who need to bring up KZ2 to either bash CoD or bash KZ2. Pathetic fanboys on both sides, and both acting like victims. So disgusting.

Isn't the poor graphics expected?
It uses the same engine as COD4 and COD:WAW.
And there's no doubt that MW2 has not been in development for a long time,given that IW releases one COD title each year.
MW2 is just going to be MW with a different SP and some new modes as well as new maps,maybe some new weapons and perks in multiplayer.
IW won't care if MW2 is a true sequel in terms of graphics and its quality coz tons of gamers are still going to buy it no matter how similar it is to MW.
Even if IW just releases a expansion of COD4 like Halo:ODST instead of a sequel and sets the price of a full game on an expansion,it's still going to sell like hotcakes.

Well, All Ghilied Up is still a graphically amazing level in my opinion, so if CoD:MW2 is matching that then I'll be very happy.

but MW2 wont jump much in graphics, the 360 simply will not allow it. Its okay if they improve the campaign, i like good campaign in shooters, like the first halo.
What about the physics, animation, lighting, character movement, is all to be seen, but judging by the teaser i see this game as another fun installment without technical breakthroughs.

I sold my MW copy because i know i will buy MW2 and i was not playing it so it was an easy decision) Still, KZ2 MP quality is going to affect my conclusion on MW2, still is very likely that i will buy it.

On this site, if it's multiformat its crap according to this sad lot. It's a teaser, you can't tell yet for god sake, and if COD 4 MW2 is as good as the first one i'll be getting it. I'm still playing the multiplayer on the COD4 now and it pisses on K2 multiplayer , get over it.If it's not a sony exclusive its just not up to it right lads, especially as the ps3 will get the jaggie version of it, as with most multiformats.

I have both games (MW and KZ2) and there is nothing about this trailer says to me "it doesn't look good". I still think the animations in COD 4 look amazing.

Xbox360 fans should just sit back & relax & be happy for what you get. Nobody really wants to know what you're low expectations are.

Either way, its not going to be a huge jump in that short a time. But where its average, it'll excel in other areas. Can't wait to see the innovation put into this one.

Oh you better believe droids like me will be celebrating killzone 2's anniversary if it's still the game to beat graphically, technically, fully supported & gameplay wise. Everyone needs to just chill, Like people have said its just a teaser. the game is most likely still in pre-alpha or alpha. i am for sure that the graphics are not going to be bad, if anything they will be better. think about it, its infinity ward they are not going to let people down especially with there biggest game. i think the game will look really good like the first one, even a little better than the first one because i am sure that infinity ward has been working on the engine and has tweaked it around.

those are monitor resolutions, it doesn't make a difference if the screens only 21" or 19", and plus why would you want to play COD4 in that resolution, the game will show thousands of jaggies on the screen, what I would like to see is a screen HDTV that can do 1080p & 300Hz, I know one company that's done 1080p 450Hz but its not going to come out for a very VERY long time

Plus, the pictures are being recorded and still-framed from a camcorder. People, stop picking apart a TEASER trailer. When E3 roles around, everyone will be impressed. This game was never meant to be the BEST GRAPHICAL GAME. It will look like CoD4, but upgraded. That's perfect. The game was developed in 2 years, what do you expect? When we actually see real videos from E3, then we can start discussing this topic, but for now, it's pointless.

Modern Warfare 2, just like its predecessors (COD4, COD:WAW) runs at 60fps, the downturn is that it takes a hit in graphics and of course will probably run at sub-HD (unless you have the PC version with a Crazy rig). Im fine with that. but still, this is a teaser, don't judge it yet.

This game shouldnt be compared to KZ2 anyway, since its a PS3 exclusive, which took %100 advantage of the system. plus KZ2 runs at 30fps at 720p. amazing graphics, the downturn is it looses a sold 60fps framerate, so its locked at 30fps.

Take the finished product of MGS4 and compare it to the first trailer shown at E3 2007. Huge difference. I am sure this product will be very different once it is done.

Everyone on here knows when you make a sequel to a game its suppose to improve on gameplay as well as graphics. To all the 360 fans you know you want a better looking game than KZ2 just so you can say I told you so to the PS3 owners. If you didn't why do you all claim that Gears of War 2 looks better than KZ2? Or how about when I read how Alan Wake looks amazing. Better yet when a multiplat game comes out this site fills up with comments on which version looks better. I think alot of you, especially PS3 Owners, mistake "realistic" with the overuse of random shaders.

The snow portrayed in these pictures looks almost identical to real snow. However you (ps3 owners)think the snow must be shiny, bloom in light, blind you when you look at it, sparkle, dance, hypnotize, change color, squirt gold, scream compliments, and crap exclusives.

You guys are so useto a machine that intentionally floods its users with unimportant and unrealistic effects in order to prove its "worth". This has severely skewed your perception.

Call of duty has always been amazing, especially the Infinity Ward versions. This game will no doubt be amazing, and have amazing graphics. OKAY, so maybe the you wont have overexposed lighting like KZ2,and maybe everything on the map wont have specular shine like Unhcarted, but in my opinion (fact) this makes the game better looking.

My biggest issue with any graphics are AA and AF, because the only thing that draws me from the gaming experience is seeing JAGGIES and the blurring of distant textures.

COD4 is currently the best selling FPS on the PS3, and i have no doubt COD6 will follow in its footsteps. I suppose KZ2 is decent, i play on the weekends, but it cannot even compare the the experience i have had with COD.

Far as i'm concerned, if the graphics of modern warfare 2 bothers anyone, go buy a state of the art pc, crysis and stfu! I for one, would rather have developers spend their resources creating a much more fun detailed experience than focusing on the eye candy.

Although KZ2 had best graphics ever for now, I have to admit COD4 was way more fun, the online is amazing, storymode was long and good.
