It wont beat KZ2 in graphics nor physics, but it will be a brilliant game nontheless.

Looks kind of open and barren, can't say I'm hugely impressed, but it is only a teaser and I trust in IW. I hope MW2 doesn't try to bring vehicles into MP mode like CoD5 did. The maps were almost perfectly done in CoD4, and opening them up made them boring as hell to me in the sequel.

This game is going to have way to much hype and fail. Not from a sales standpoint. A lot of fans are going to be getting more of the same and that's not good enough these days especially with sequels. I liked COD4 when I had my 360. But I believe Killzone 2 is a much better game and will be better then Modern Warfare 2. It all depends on taste. But my vote will most likely go with K2 for GOTY unless MAG or some other FPS blows me away.

Can someone tell me if there is a certain video format you need to watch this video.Bcause all I see is a little box and tha outline where tha video should be.

This game is going to be the best FPS this year bar none, I imagine it will triple in sales what KZ2 has done. It will play better online and most likely look as good if not better!

but really in my case thats not saying much, I mean after COD4 I'd pretty much buy anything from IW, so until I get burned on a medicore game from them,(don't hold your breath) I'm buying whatever their selling, damm these guys are good, some devs just know what gamers want, even before the gamers themselves do....this and Halo ODST will pretty much complete my year for shooters.

Please, this game was the quintessential example of an overrated game. Atleast the Single player was good but the game was boring otherwise and the amount of hardcore gangsta kiddies that this series attracts is enough to make me want to light a kitten with a zippo lighter.

The only problem I have is that the devs might just make it the same as COD4. And since COD4 is pretty much perfected online for what it is, it might just be like COD5 where I still rather playing COD4 online.

If they fix the horrible respawning system, up the amount of players online and bring in some more interesting game modes then i'll be happy.

i would have preferred using an updated engine tbh. The biggest announce from the cod4 engine seems to be hit detection. The hitboxes on ppl's heads seem really random, the amount of times i've shot someone in the head only to get a 'normal' kill is unbelievable. You only have to create a room with headshots only to see how off the hit detection is.

But the weird thing is that in general, body shots register really well.

Its just disappointing to see that they're playing it safe when COD4 was such a jump up from COD2. Some ppl may say don't fix what it if it isn't broken, but then why bother getting mw2 when COD4 is still very popular online to this day...

I really hope they sort out the perks a bit too cus being killed by a noob using martydom is still 1 of the most frustrating things in video games, the fact that a player doesn't even have to fire their weapon and can still get kills!

Also they should really spread the killstreak rewards out. every game you will always get the winning team full of average scores and then 1 or 2 players with ridiculous k/d, simply cus they got a few kills and then got a helicopter out (at which point the player doesn't even need to bother playing themself anymore) and so the kills just rack up so quickly. I just think if a player is good enough to get a killstreak going, why reward them by giving them an easier way to get kills....

Gameplay is what matters, not graphics. Cod4 is ALOT better than kz2 yet has worse graphics.....understand droids? or do I have to simplify that?

Thats why I got a 360, it has great graphics and gameplay.
Ps3 is all about graphics, it's like gameplay is tossed aside. And yet it still can't reach the graphical heights of the 360

All the people complaining about cod4 lagging are ps3 players.

I've played both versions, 16 days on the ps3 and 4 on the 360.
I can tell you right now that the ps3 seems laggier, I shoot at someone and my bullets don't connect in ALOT of games....even with 4 bars.

On the 360, you would maybe find one game out of 20, with bad hit detection....it's like 1 in 5 on the ps3.

seriously whats the big dealk2 is on the same level. many 360 fans dont like to hear it but its true k2 is a great title and mw2 doesnt seem to be doing much more and its doesnt look as good. what we know is it will be a good game. i have to say though it looks like to me the race is between MAG ans K2 which either could win.

CoD MW was super no0bish and turned me off, they should add some difficulty like KZ2.

I'll reserve judgement until I see actual in-game footage.

The majority of rants on here are based around "MW2 is 'samey'" or "Killzone 2 pwns MW2!". What happened to just talking about the excitement or lack of excitement of the game itself and not trying 2 take away from the game by comparing it with a game thats out NOW and that you've probably already played. Infinity Ward is a PROVEN developer who has always pushed the FPS genre with every release. Not to bash GG but they, so far, are a one hit wonder if you will...and I'm not saying this to discredit KZ2. That would be just foolish. I'm introducing this arguement becaused the majority of the naysayers on this thread are KZ2 fans who don't want to see they're beloved KZ2 get its a$$ handed to them by a game that will be available on the 360. Point...Blank. Yes after MW2 is releaseed, it still might not be able to topple the grandeur of KZ2. But then again it might! In my opinion IT WILL be the better overall game, without a shadow of a doubt but thats MY opinion. I just think that its very unwise to write off a PROVEN developer...not wise at all.

It's still too early to tell how this game is going to turn out eventually, but if the first Modern Warfare is any indication, then i believe we are into a great thrill ride. so far am sold.

My only concern and want from this, in terms of single player, is I want the full on scope of COD 2. It was a cool change of pace in MW, but what I loved about the series initially was that grand arena and the feeling that you were actually in a war.

I just hope it looks good for a PC game..

Why? Well it was pretty lame after building a PC for Crysis, popping in the much hyped COD4, the game looked like child's play, even on max settings.

COD4 was still amazing though. And it is indeed gameplay>graphics, but graphics are APART of Crysis's environment based gameplay.

hmmmm, I loved the COD4 and COD5, however, people are right in saying the graphics are no beauties...BUT, its a teaser vid so its early, but then its not THAT early as it launches in what, 5 months? however, I guess we shouldn't expect too much of a leap in graphics and rely in the quality gameplay from the first....some of us are spoilt with graphics these days I guess

well i agree it looks pretty bad @ the snow and the under water clip was pretty sweet also if you noticed the two fighting and one soldier flipped the other over his back onto the ground... pretty sweet if they put some hand to hand combat similar to gears 2's chainsaw battles! Pretty Exciting!!!

Based on the teaser, I can pretty much say that the story setting for this installment in the franchise will be centered on Russia or some other cold, snowy environment, as opposed to the middle east setting in cod4. anyways, activision should give more info at E3. Can't wait!

Although there is such an influx of awesome games coming out, it's going to be hard to pick and choose. I think killzone 2 and M.A.G. will tie my FPS fix for the year, though this will DEF be a rental.

graphics age quicker than gameplay, so you enjoy great graphics for now cause im sure by the end of the year something will look better and have a much better story.

The gameplay is going to be great, we all know this. Infinity Ward can be trusted to make an excellent game.

The graphics aren't anything groundbreaking but they are good enough to get the job done and the game will be awesome anyway.

... but i'm so glad i've got Killzone 2 until it lands because i was getting seriously f$%ked off with World at War!! It's a shame IW can't work on a PS3 exclusive, i'm sure they'd work wonders without the 360's last gen hardware holding them back...
