David Jaffe to Keep on Blogging

David Jaffe writes: "Yes, I am still blogging. I was pretty bummed by the leak from our game yesterday. Not so much the information that got out (there really was nothing in there that gave away what we were making or breached any sort of trust I have with the team or with Sony). I was just annoyed that someone would actually go thru the trouble of not only defogging the images (that I clearly was sharing with the net community and clearly didn't want defogged) but then that they would go so far as to post the info on the net."

Jaffe is the sort of person that loves the sound of his own voice.

That's the problem, nobody is listening anymore. His glory days are long gone and he's desperate for some kind of recognition.

He knew exactly what would happen when he posted those pictures. So if someone else gets pissed off at the leak. He should man up and admit he did it for the attention.

This isn't the first time he's shot himself in the foot and thrown a 'hissy' fit saying he's leaving the internet.

Just ignore him and his asinine rants!

OmarJA6216d ago

I think you gotta a date with Cliffy B.

shingo6216d ago (Edited 6216d ago )

No wonder you are ignored by 22 people.

and lmao @ that picture xD

Can't wait for TWISTED METAL PS3 :D

Rock Bottom6216d ago

Then why his blog is so lively, and why each time he say something it makes N4G's front page, even you seem to know what have been going on with him... I wounder if you were listening?...

But I have to agree with the second part, he probably knew what was going to happen before posting the pictures.

heyheyhey6216d ago

i think i'll ignore YOU and YOUR asinine rants instead

whoelse6216d ago

Slime does have a point though. David really can't be annoyed that someone has worked it out and put it on the internet.

If he really didn't want that to happen, he shouldn't have uploaded it onto the web anyway. He has himself to blame. It was obvious someone would do this, and they have every right to do so.

tplarkin76216d ago

My guess is that David is a lazy guy that had some skill once. You have to wonder why he was let go from the God of War team.

This "leak" is bogus PR and nobody cares.

barom6216d ago

@1.0
I listen to him. Much more interesting than reading all this garbage N4G is filled with nowadayz. Especially those "5 reasons why PS3 will win" and then next day "5 reasons why PS3 won't catch up". Then Hiphopgamer comes on and says "Wolverine is better than GoW3". Then playstationlifestyle comes on and gives us "rumored" PSN content A DAY before it's released. Then we get reviews for a year old game from some unknown site and etc. Just too much bs

@1.5
He was just being naive and he knows it. In his own words "I know I'm a naive idiot for being surprised but sometimes the behavior of folks on the net can really just wear you down.". If you read the comments you can find him elaborating on it more.

@1.6
He left the GoW. He wasn't kicked off

TwistedMetal6216d ago

xhi46216d ago

where can I find the defogged images?

n4gn4gn4gn4g6216d ago

http://www.freeimagehosting...

He can't be that naive that people wouldn't do this...it is the FIRST thing I thought of doing when I saw the pic.

Attention Whore he is.

lucifon6216d ago

You put out images which can be defogged about a secret game project and expect the internet world to just look at them and think "oh no we cant defog these as Jaffy clearly doesnt want us too".

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher311d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar312d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername311d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72312d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio312d ago (Edited 312d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125312d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori312d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro312d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx312d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga594d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon594d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga593d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

badboyz09594d ago (Edited 594d ago )

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole594d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer594d ago (Edited 594d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole594d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic593d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage594d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12594d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
