GamePro: Prototype Hands-on Preview

GamePro has admired the twisted urban world of Prototype for ages, but it's only after they've taken an early turn at the controls that they really understand the ambition driving this project. Alex Mercer isn't just another growling tough guy; he's an immensely powerful anti-hero, with a chip on his shoulder the size of the Empire State building.

This game is going to be a heck of a blast.

Yeah it's looking like being a riot in every sense of the word. I expect inFamous to be a little more thoughtful and this a bit more OTT but there's certainly room for both of them in my summer game schedule.

IDK why anyone wants either to be cack-of anything the two can push each other on if they can both succeed and that way everyone should be happy.

Whatever, I don't get why this has got a bit of hate from the PS only side recently or why the 360 heads seem to like to bite on inFamous as both look like being great games, a break from the FPS madness we've had for what seems like ages AND mean that whether you own both or just one of the HD consoles they ensure you some decent open world superhero madness-and that can't be bad, can it?

Enough difference in the powers/skillsets to make both worthy of playing. More choice it appears in inFamous for good/evil, while Prototype is steering you in the F everything up with no regards direction. I'll most likely get Prototype for the 360 as I prefer that controller. Most likely reserve inFamous when I go to work Friday. Might as well toss down $5 for Heavy Rain since that's in the system now as well.

Ranking The Coldest, Most Ruthless Protagonists In Gaming

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.

I'd like to believe Joel's situation is more about turning into a calloused survivor in a cold-hard world who may have made selfish decisions. Not inherently ruthless.

Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1

Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos669d ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.
