Many people looked over this game thinking it was some twisted metal knockoff but in fact it was one of the best/most fun games ive ever played:

Those games on the list are good but this game is just straight out fun!

I can say I own all the games on the list, except Silent Hill (I've played/beat it, just don't own it). I will say, however, that I don't agree with a lot of the placements, but that, of course, is just my opinion.

For one, if they decided to include Final Fantasy Chronicles, I can't believe they don't include Final Fantasy Anthology. Sure, it has FFV which is mediocre compared to IV and VI-X, but it also has VI, which is the best FF there is, and nowadays the FF Anthology is about the only place to get it.

Second, just for me personally, I would have Xenogears as number one, as it still remains my favorite game of all time. I can understand someone else not agreeing, but the person that made this list is obviously an RPG fan, so I don't see how games such as Twisted Metal, Parasite Eve, Resident Evil (the first one), Silent Hill, etc. could be placed ahead of it. While they are great games, I wouldn't put them in a top 20 list (and come on...how in the world can someone have RE1 ahead of RE2? Same with Twisted Metal...how can they have the first one, but not the much better second one on there?).

Third, I could drop 6+ games on that list in favor of the first Grandia.

Fourth, while I wouldn't expect it, since the person has probably never played it, but Tobal No. 2 was and is by far the best "fighting" game I've ever played. Sadly, it was never released in the US.

Also, I can name a few games that I may not (some I might) have in a top 20 either, but sort of honorable mentions:
Star Ocean: 2nd Story
Saga Frontier 2 (not a big fan of the first game)
Suikoden (first one)
Alundra (again, first one)
Persona 1 and 2
Wild Arms (first one)
Ape Escape (first game to really use the analog to full effect on ps1)
Discworld 1 and 2 (guess not for everyone, but loved the humor)
Tales of Destiny
Tekken 1-3
Warhawk
Gran Turismo 1 and 2
Ridge Racer (not a huge racing fan, so didn't play the sequel(s) )
(I'm sure there are others, but those are just off the top of my head)

Those differences aside though, I actually like the list a good bit, and it has several games I would have thought most people would forget, such as Vagrant Story, Legend of Dragoon, Castlevania: SotN (what I wouldn't give for a new next-gen Castlevania game (done well, maybe even 2D)).

brings back lots of memories. I agree with MGS as #1. Ive havnt played 4 yet but I liked mgs 1 the most out of the others I played. It was the game that pushed the PS1 to its limits. One of the reason it my favorite mgs was because the enemies wernt totally lame like vamp or fatman. It actually had cool enimeis like raven, sniper wolf and pshyco mantis. Plus you fight liquid before he was just an arm on ocelot(wich was also retarded I thought).

My favorite part is when you fight pshycho mantis and he uses his mind powers to move the DS or reads your saves.

MGS1 was the sh@t(in a good way), and the other MGS' were the sh@t too, only they had a lot of corn in em.
