
Game Informer has learned that Eidos Interactive may be keeping its bat in the belfry until the holiday season. According to print advertising and release dates on retail sites, Batman: Arkham Asylum is scheduled to ship on June 23. The game's official website simply lists a summer timeframe. Today sources close to the game told Game Informer that the release date was being pushed until the fourth quarter of 2009.

Arkham Asylum will fare as well during the holiday season. They pretty much had June sealed up.
No! I don't want to wait so long for that game! I want to play as the Joker!
Good. Delayed = better game, and I can't wait to play Batman ala Snake style.
I'll say it would be a pretty smart move. A lot of other titles would just distract potential buyers.
