E3 2009: Mass Effect 2 at E3

BioWare has once again begun posting to its blog on IGN. For the very first Mass Effect 2 post, Executive Producer Casey Hudson has already begun clearing up rumors and making news. The first bit of exciting news is that Mass Effect 2 will indeed be shown at E3. Hudson promises, "you can look forward to some incredible new experiences in Mass Effect 2 as the story takes on even larger proportions, along with a ton of gameplay improvements and a return of the things most loved by players of the first game."

LOL PS3 fans came into 360 threads and took your bubbles.

Fleet Fox6233d ago

lol They don't like the reality of this generation.

MazzingerZ6233d ago

rality of this generation?
That's Mass Effect is coming to the PS3 sooner or later
The only thing Microsoft can buy today is DLC and cheap franchises like Manga Carta 2 (coming to PS3 anyway) and the cheapest CAPCOM franchise today: Lost Planet 2 (looks awesome running on their multiplatform devkit)
PS3 is a monster you can't stop = New games, Developing Studions WOLRDWIDE generating game to a pace that neither MSFT nor Nintendo can match...that's the reality of this generation.

"PS3 is a monster you can't stop" lol

So funny.

"PS3 is a monster you can't stop"
lol
what are you, 4?

7ero H3LL6233d ago (Edited 6233d ago )

yeah sure ps3 can have mass effect 2, i like to see the results of an other UT3 based game having troubles with ps3's hardware. this will be the what...5th poor ut3 game ps3 has in it's selection.

swiftshot936233d ago

seeing as how the original Mass Effect had problems running on the 360

7ero H3LL6233d ago (Edited 6233d ago )

and what does that mean it'll run even better on ps3? the engine it's self is what i'm talking about, i'm glad that bioware did what they could to get mass effect1 out as soon as they could, but i want bioware to keep the development going smooth and as much time as they see fit for the sequel to finish.

"PS3 is a monster you can't stop"

lol wtf...

I'm seeing a giant ps3 with arms and legs busting through a brick wall screaming "OH YEAH!!!"

its past your bedtime kid.

Traveler6233d ago

Mass Effect is my favorite game on the 360 and Mass Effect 2 is going to be amazing. I can't wait.

ZuperAmazingCooKie6233d ago

"LOL PS3 fans came into 360 threads and took your bubbles. "

"LOL" it goes both ways "LOL"

Why is it that "Why Dis" never has anything productive or intelligent to say?

Traveler6233d ago

Because he is an ultra 360 fanboy. If it's not on 360 it's not good in his eyes.

Sales, sales, sales ....yippee! Just don't tell them that the 360 is being outsold quite handily by the Wii, they might all commit mass suicide. Shhh!

By far my most anticipated game, the story characters and setting of Mass Effect were perfect. I can't wait to see how Bioware succeeds with the sequal.

Bnet3436233d ago

Mines too, I loved ME1. Can't wait to see what they got in store.

Gamer_Politics6233d ago

butterfinger6233d ago

I like how they have infused your ME1 gamesave file for ME2. I cannot wait for ME2!!!!!! They should however release the 1st and second games together for PS3.PS3 fans sure missed the 1st mega-hit of a game. If they re-released the 1st game on PS3 with optimized graphics and a bundle load of content i'd buy it for that system too!

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast531d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine531d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast531d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman531d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast531d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave779d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan779d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave779d ago (Edited 779d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
