Introversion Looks Back on 2008

In many ways, 2008 was the year of the indie game. Thanks to both PC-based digital distribution and Xbox Live, there are now serious avenues for indie developers to make money, and the massive success of games like Braid and World of Goo have created a perception that going it alone is a path to fame and fortune.

However, it is often forgotten that indie development is still small business. If your game isn't selling, you are going to suffer pretty heavily as a result. This is the kind of wake-up call that British indie stalwart Introversion had during 2008.
