
Activision's forthcoming sandbox superhero romp is shaping up to become the benchmark for all open-world comic-inspired games to come. AusGamers took the game (and two of its missions) for a spin to see whether or not it'll live up to the hype.
As the only Vivendi published game to survive the Activision/Blizzard merger, Prototype has a lot to live up to. It says a lot about quality control when a company like Activision drops seemingly money titles like Ghostbusters or Brutal Legend, but for the most part, Acti's stable of games does speak for itself with their Triple A games consistently owning top 10 sales data around the world (Call of Duty, Guitar Hero).
So, what do AusGamers think of Prototype?

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.

Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
