Blue Dragon: Long Future Ahead

"We're hoping to really build on the franchise, Mistwalker boss Hironobu Sakaguchi tells CVG".

"Blue Dragon has sold through more than 200,000 units in Japan and again it will continue to build momentum as we get into things like BD2 and BD3", Sakaguchi told us. "And that's what we're hoping; to really build on the franchise. Maybe it'll take ten years (laughs)".

You think lost odyssey won't?
Can you please name the PS3 games that are selling lots hot cakes in Japan today that are not on the 360 or will not be? Also, name which PS3 game sold more than this game in Japan. Is it an RPG?

Blue dragon is a good game. More than half of all the 360 owners in Japan bought this game. Seem like they mite have liked it.

BladeStar is 100% correct about Lost Odyssey. I my self am no turn based RPG fan but this games is getting my attention. My daughter is 4 and I'm buying BLUE DRAGON for her day one. It is perfect for kids.

Rasputin20117051d ago

I will be looking to make both titles(Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey) purchases.

the game may be good but not that good considering Final Fantasy is way more famous than this game and bladestar did you know thats not true if this game did come for the PS3 it will only come in one disc.

MissAubrey7051d ago

Theyre going start up an anime for Blue Dragon ya know. and cmon its barely the first game and it has'nt even hit anywhere else yet.

Black Republican7051d ago

Final Fantasy - has how many games???

Blue Dragon - has how many games?????

If you know the answer to these questions, well that might be why Blue Dragon is not as popular as Final Fantasy.

Rasputin20117051d ago

Is this news NOT about Blue Dragon which IS going to be a Xbox360 title?....so why would gamers from the 360 camp start talking about FF when that title IS NOT confirmed as a 360 title?....we all know that the FF series is amazing BUT it is NOT a upcoming 360 title....getting the picture?

Looking forward to both Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
